Xavier never really cared for this part of the city but it didn't bother him any to be here... he was fairly certain he could take on a punk or two if need be and not break cover. However, this was a strange gig for him to do in all honesty; he received an anonymous call earlier asking about security. Now normally security would be no big deal, but this was gang business, really shady and all sorts of twisted.
Eh, it paid well.
He yawned as he leaned against the door frame to one of the many storage houses, its inside empty and barren, but apparently where this deal was going to take place. As for what was going to be dealt, Xavier didn't ask; he was there to provide muscle and nothing more. The guy he talked to earlier reassured him that these things usually go off without a hitch, but it was always good to show 'strength in numbers'. Pah. Tell that to any wild Poke'mon and they'd laugh at you.
...Which was another thing that worried him. His identity had been concealed pretty well as far as he was concerned; he was a hit man for infected Poke'mon, not many people asked him about his methods so long as the deed was done. One of his policies was that he worked alone, for the safety of his identity more-so than the safety of others. Although if push came to shove he wouldn't be afraid to expose himself in front of a human, he would just... rather avoid it if possible.
Blackmail wasn't exactly his forte, after all.
So what would he do if a fight broke out? Eh. He could still swing a nasty right hook in his human guise, given the force behind it was that of his Poke'mon form. Nobody had to know, of course (except the guy getting decked, naturally). He could probably get away with using some of his psychic prowess and claim it to be a mutation. Actually, he could blame just about anything he did on being a mutant.
Thank Arceus for mutant scapegoats.
"Haah?" Xavier looked up, sensing people nearby. He kicked off of his post and sauntered around the corner, seeking his contact.

Theo heard many things from his ghostly friends. Rumors, gossip, hearsay, speculation, some ghosts were so detached from the real world they parroted back anything that crossed their ears in hopes Theo would give them enough energy to pet a cat or whack off. He took everything with a grain of salt, and rarely depended on the information most of his contacts gave him without backing it up through one or more routes. When this bit of juicy gossip crossed his path, Theo had barely paid it any mind, but then it was repeated, again, and again.
There was something special about Xavier Jayce.
Outwardly, Theo seemed to be paying attention to the group assembled for this deal. Too disorganized to be a team, but too friendly to be a squad, this particular group of men were some of his most experienced. Some of them had been in gangs longer than Theo had. There were a few newer members there, to gain experience, especially one, a twitchy little fellow who was there because he knew numbers at levels far beyond most of the rest of the gang’s elementary level education.
Inwardly, Theo did not worry about the upcoming deal. He’d done his worrying earlier; now a cigarette held loosely between two fingers soothed any jitters he still had, allowing him to devote his thoughts to the ‘special’ security he’d hired. Whispers spoke of Xavier as more than just a very talented infected exterminator. There was a sense about him, something greater, more intimidating, something that alternatively lured and warded Pokemon away from him. One of the ghosts Theo talked to, though extremely old and half crazed by her gruesome death, managed to rasp out through her slit throat that she swore she’d seen Xavier glowing one night. Theo was quite curious about who—or what—had moved into his city, so he’d invited the man along, primarily for security. It was also why Theo himself had ventured out to oversee this operation.
Qi sat in his lap, his sister Xing waiting on the outskirts of the main group. Theo absently held the small cat’s paw in his hand, replacing Xing for the time being.
Qi’s ears twitched, bringing with them a twitch in his head Theo recognized from long years of familiarity with his Pokemon. He twisted in his chair and caught sight of a tall, white haired man approaching. That would be the infamous Xavier.
Beckoning the man over with an imperious wave of the hand holding the dwindling cigarette, Theo waved his men away with the same hand. It was time for them to go to the meeting place so no one would get suspicious.
“Xavier Jayce,” it was not a question, more of a greeting, and Theo stuck his cigarette between his lips to offer a very calloused hand to the other man, “Ghost, or Theo, if you prefer. I trust you know the details of your duties tonight?” Theo went right down to business. He’d been quite vague in his job offer to Xavier, purposefully, in hopes of not scaring the man off.

Well he had to give credit to the guy; he was straight to the point. No formalities or the like, a true businessman. Finally. Xavier disliked wasting time and the pleasantries involved in invoking a deal, he'd much be given the facts and sent on his way. Although this time around, facts were pretty scarce, but it couldn't be too hard. As he looked over the man - Ghost, was it? An odd nickname. - he silently understood the need for security, what with given the wheelchair.
Of course, Xavier wasn't the type of guy to underestimate, so.
"Aye. Well, I know enough, anyway." Xavier replied with an easy grin, taking Theo's hand in his own for a brief shake. He mentally noticed how rough they were, but that didn't surprise him; if he had to constantly roll along in a wheelchair, his palms would be chaffed too. "I'll keep an eye on yer shindig for anything out of whack. Ah... more-so than usual, anyway." He chuckled then and turned, watching the various gang members disperse.
"Got quite a crew, eh?" Xavier absentmindedly noted as he led the way back towards the warehouse. As he leaned back against the door-frame and crossed his arms, he gave a small nod to the Meowstic in the man's lap as a silent greeting. Internally however, he was not too pleased; he hadn't confirmed it, but Xavier had a nasty hunch that other psychic types could see through his guise whenever he used his prowess, or at the very least could sense part of his aura. And judging by the Meowstic's aura, they were around the same level. He had to guard his mind now in addition to everything else, which was just great.
Eh, it paid... well. He supposed.
"Anything in particular about these guys I should know before they get here?" Xavier cast his tired ruby gaze onto Theo, head slightly cantered. He then perked suddenly and glanced over his shoulder. "Which looks to be really fuckin' soon." he added with a snort.

Theo was a street kid turned almost respectable gang member. He had the tie to prove it, a dark blue one today looped loosely around his neck, not quite meshing with the loose black hoodie Theo wore against the incoming winter’s chill. Theo didn’t know how to use formalities, and would have disregarded them if he did know. He called people Mister or Miss if he wanted to charm, otherwise it was straight to first names at the very least. In the gang world, everyone had a street name. Theo wondered what Xavier’s would be, the idea that it would be something as legendary as Latios never crossing his mind.
Pulling on his gloves separated Theo’s hand from Qi’s paw, though the human quickly returned to his Pokemon’s grasp. Qi shook slightly, barely noticeably, causing a hint of concern to cross Theo’s mind, but it was quickly banished, as Qi was always a bit edgy when separated from his sister. Xavier and the impending deal both served as an excellent distraction, and Theo immediately turned his attention back onto the case at hand, observing the mysterious hire.
“Yes,” Theo’s hand slapped his chest proudly at the comment about his crew, “They are the best damn crew around.” It was more than mere boasting. Under Theo’s guidance, Noxus had a well-earned reputation throughout the slums and even in certain industries in the rest of Nada.
He continued on a more serious note, “I am not guaranteeing these guys will try and pull something funny, but this is a new business deal, and they have been real loud about expecting more than they’re worth. They have some strong fighters, if my intel is correct, and it always is.” Theo gave Xavier a knowing grin.
The other man’s reaction came a moment before Qi’s ears twitched to alert of the other crew’s approach, a fact that did not escape Theo’s notice. Was the other man a psychic? Concerns and any methods Theo had for discovering psychics had to wait, as he could now hear the other crew’s approach. He rolled to the window and beckoned the other man over. A small group approached the abandoned warehouse designated as tonight’s drop zone, moving quickly and with purpose.
“We’re protected,” Theo told Xavier with a proud look, “Flippy has our backs, and we made a deal that my gang would secure the drop zone so they won’t poke around and cause trouble on my turf.” In the rafters, the little floating squid gave a happy squeak, only to be shushed by his trainer.
Theo’s voice dropped low, though the group was making enough noise they wouldn’t be able to hear his voice through the walls of their hide out, another abandoned warehouse with an apparently boarded up door and windows, one with easy access to the drop point for even Theo’s chair. “They call themselves the Draconians, pretty confident of ‘em, right? The two Druddigon carrying the crates are the only real dragons of the lot, porters and security in one. The rest of ‘em make do with Charmeleon and snakes and shit like that.” Just as Theo said that, an Arbok slithered past them on the street, not even giving the building a second look.
[There, plenty of things to fight in case we want things to go wrong!]

Xavier couldn't hide the smirk that eased across his face, nor the bemused softness that glinted in his eye; he liked this guy and his crew. Flippy, eh? He chuckled and stretched his arms back over his head, resting his palms against the back of his neck. It was a strangely comfortable atmosphere despite the details of what was going on here.
He sniffed as the other gang emerged from the woodworks, Xav's grin slipping into a neutral expression while his arms slinked back into their folded position cross his chest. Draconians? Confident is one thing, but false is another; these guys were barely intimidating, how could they call themselves dragons? Xavier tsked under his breath; he was almost offended.
As they got closer, one of the Druddigon paused in its carrying to give Xavier a stern leer, its jaw clamped aggressively. A brow shot up on Xav as he returned the look with more vigor, causing the dragon-type to be taken aback and look away, a glare in its eye as it conversed with its partner. Xavier grinned triumphantly and looked up as a man stepped in front on the cargo, his gaze set and eyes... uncannily jaded.
Xavier sighed; this wasn't going to be a quick deal.
"You're pretty cocky to bring so few people, ahh?" The man leered and glanced to the side, Xavier following suit to see more gang members emerge from the shadows, their reptilian (yet not dragon) Poke'mon in tow. "Here's the deal. You pay us double and I'll ah... dismiss this extra riff-raff." The man finished with a wave of his hand.
Xavier snorted, however, drawing the man's eye. His wrist flexed and he leered Xavier up and down, taking a couple steps towards him as if to intimidate. Xavier, however, did not move; he continued to stand stoic, still, and positively bored. The man paused and rubbed at his goatee. "Ya got a new playmate eh? Whats his name?"
"Piss off." Xavier responded with a smirk, causing the man to leer. He flicked a wrist and the Druddigon came charging towards Xavier, stopping on either side of him to snarl and snap, yet once again, Xav remained still. He blinked.
"You're not in the position to be snarky, boy." Xavier glared at the terminology. "Just for that, its three times the original price!"
Xavier glanced back to Theo with a shrug as if to say 'it can't be helped' and suddenly spun in what looked to be a spinning kick, yet the force behind it was enough to send the two dragons flying into nearby rubbish. The man gawked but recovered fast enough to issue one order; "Attack!"
