With the restaurant being closed on the weekends (as business was too slow on Saturdays and Sundays) and his grandparents safely tucked away in bed, refusing to leave their room due to the low temperatures of the outside world, Hugh would finally have a day off. Not like he did anything much different on the weekends. The poor man, although young and in his twenties, did not have any friends outside of his grandparents and his own Pokemon. As for the romance department, it was something that was so dusty and non bothered that it wasn't even worth speaking of in the slighest.
So, on the weekends Hugh would always come to the lake where he could train with his Pokemon. He may not be able to achieve his dreams of ever becoming a gym leader in this broken down region, but at least he could try and become a pretty damn good trainer. A soft hand, having never to do any manual labor, reached for a red and white pokeball and pressed the button, a red light streaming out to reveal a Blaziken. " 'Bout time Hugh." The Blaziken, named Tracey, spoke aloud as he stretched his arms and legs before looking around the large area. "No trainers this time either huh?" Tracey asked as he crossed his arms, disappointed that he wouldn't be able to try out his skills on any real opponents.
The man shook his head. "Unfortunately not today either. We could just train on the occasional natural object like always, if you'd like." The man suggested, offering a smile to his friend. Tracey shook his head, although it offered a bit of exercise it didn't offer the adrenaline rush that a pokemon battle offered to its opponents.
Hugh turned around and looked about the area before finally spotting a humanoid figure. "Hey, maybe they would want to battle Tracey. Let's see if they'll head this way, if not leave it alone. You know how crazy this place has gotten lately, and frankly I don't feel like going to jail." Hugh stated as he waved his hand to gesture towards the figure in the distance.

I may of changed... But at least this place hasn't...
Tyrus sighed softly and stared out across the lake her eyes distant as though seeing something that wasn't there; her fur had grown longer with the coming of winter as well as making her spike locks of pink hilariously big [to the point of where the stuff in the back was now in a very well kept pony tail]. She wasn't wearing any of her suppressing stones today either; pravus for some reason decided that the morph didn't need them whilst out and about anymore. Though whenever she returned to the corp they had her have the rather large ball. Her outfit still consisted of the simple shirt and loincloth; though the colors now were interrupted by amber stones here and there on the loin cloth's fabric. The morph gripped her sides a bit and looked down her face flushing a bit; the fur wasn't the only thing that was changing either and it really was sorta becoming a pain. She shook her head and then let out a very surprised yelp as she felt Mack bite her tail playfully. The little bugger was full of energy and usually always was playing with carlo; though the latter was enjoying a nice little bath at the moment which was beyond amusing to watch sometimes.
Why are you so glum Tyrus? I thought you said this was your favorite spot?
Words didn't come easy to Tyrus anymore; she stuttered more than anything and it was slowly getting to the point of painful when she spoke longer sentences. So she simply stuck to sending in the information to people's heads [though if she didn't want to offend them she simply had either Jazz, Salisbury or Mack relay the information]. She reached down and picked the little Totadile up and gave him a bit of a noogie before glancing out at the rolling about Tyranitrum. Her thoughts reached out to Mack who shivered a little bit at the activity, he was still getting used to the method of communication with Tyrus.
It is my favorite spot to come out to; back when I was a kid at least. It seems.. So much smaller now. Especially with the Thrashing Tyrantrum...
The last part was said with a wry smile; as though sensing someone talking about him the large Tyrantrum shifted about and looked at Tyrus and mack... Before going back to splashing about in the deeper bits of the lake; he hadn't gone too far but it was much farther than Tyrus would go since she had problems swimming even when it was warm with all the fur she was slowly gathering. She felt mack squirm in her arms and the morph felt his anxiousness; the morph turned her head in the direction mack was looking before blinking a few times. Someone else was here? They were decently far off and Tyrus set mack down before gesturing at Carlo whom almost immediately stood up. As soon as he was out of the water however was when the inhale of breath.... Though he never got to yell when a spout of water from Mack hit the Tyrantrum in the face [not very forceful but still the gesture in itself.] made him sputter a little bit before laughing. The morph sighed softly and started to pad off towards the person Mack now climbing up onto Tyrus's middle tail and Carlo tromping behind Tyrus his mood plainly mixed between both sour... and amusement. The Morph was about ten or so feet away from Hugh before stopping; Mack looked around from behind Tyrus and Carlo was resting his head on top of Tyrus's in a ploy to be either cute or silly. Silence followed for a few moment as Tyrus brushed her thoughts against Mack's again.
Woah woah slow down... Oh Okay. "Hello! Name's Tyrus, is there something you need?"
The morph gave a brief lopsided smile and a short wave as though Mack wasn't the one that had actually spoken....

Hugh was not expecting what, or whater who, appeared over the horizon. The man stood quietly for a moment as the Totodile and Tyrantum along with some form of a humanoid or other appeared to greet him. No words came from his mouth for a moment as he didn't want to be rude by asking what the person was, or why they were wearing such a strange outfit.
Then he remembered one major thing Nada Citadel was known for, Pokemorphs. He never really observed all of the people that walked passed him during the day so he was bound to have passed up a few morphs every now and then. What confused him more was the fact that the sea green totodile was speaking instead of the..person that was standing behind them. Although it was odd, Hugh eventually regained his self composure and began to speak with the person near the Pokemon waved it's hand as though it had been the one to instruct the Totodile to speak. Perhaps it was mute?
"You're Tyrus?" He wanted to double check to make sure as he gestured to the little Totodile. Tracey stood behind his trainer, looking at the unique trio. "Hey Hugh, I think that one is Tyrus." He gestured to the spliced pokemorph. Hugh looked at his fried with a 'huh' expression before looking to the taller figure, well it would make more sense for the Pokemorph to be the one addressing the situation.
Hugh laughed for a moment before speaking up again. "Sorry about that." He smiled slightly. "Well, since you're here, and I can see you have pokemon of your own, would you like to battle? We've been looking for someone to battle for ages." He explained as he stood next to his companion. Although the woman was a morph, Hugh did not judge others, it was not the right thing to do, not matter the species or gender.
The man's brown eyes suddenly widened slightly as he realized something vital to conversation. "I'm Hugh by the way, and this is Tracey." He gestured to the Blaziken behind him who gave the group a thumbs up with one of his clawed fingers. The fiery chicken was eager to participate in a battle and if Tyrus and her Pokemon did not want to battle, the Pokemon would be deeply saddened by it.

What could they want?
Mack shook his head and gestured over to Tyrus whom with Tracey's added comment waved again and attempted a friendly smile. Her smile quickly faded and a somewhat surprised look took it's place before she glanced up at Carlo who had put a bit of pressure on the morph's head as though to re-assure her. She shrugged a bit and stroked along the top of the Tyrantrum's jaw for a moment before pursing her lips. Carlo was being oddly quiet and she was about to ask him what he was thinking when he suddenly spoke; well in his fashion at least which was always at the top of his lungs. The morph gave a little irritated growl at the proximity and bapped the Tyrantrum's chest with a frown. The totadile nearly fell over but quickly regained his composure; it was an amusing sight to say the least; the morph couldn't help but chuckling after Carlo "spoke"
OH THEY WANT A BATTLE? TYRUS CAN I DO IT PLEASE. I HAVEN'T HAD ONE SINCE BACK IN PRAVUS.
The morph pursed her lips a little bit and awkwardly looked down at mack who gave a small shrug; Tyrus wasn't the best Trainer nor was she sure what the rules were exactly. She shared this information with Mack who grinned toothily and put his hands on his head before shaking it. The little guy wasn't sure if he should share the first part but hey if Tyrus asked him to he would; as though on cue the Totadile hopped into Tyrus's arms and the morph stood back up. Her lips remained pursed for a few moments before nodding a little bit. Carlo almost was dancing with glee, he never really got to fight past the occasional wrestling with Salisbury whom didn't really enjoy fighting at all. The totadile leaned forward in Tyrus's arms and spoke again his grin plain on his face. He wanted to see what his trainer was capable of; as well as wondering what the blaziken could do.
Well Tyrus isn't the best Trainer, she's not very used to dealing with pokemon battle's either but she'd be willing!
I DON'T THINK YOU SHOULD OF TOLD THEM THE SECOND PART. WELL AT LEAST ABOUT THE BATTLING BIT.
Hnnnn! Carlo leave the shouting during the fighting will yah?
Both of the pokemon stopped whatever their reply when Tyrus actually spoke, her voice cracked a bit and it didn't look like she enjoyed the fact that she had too. Her voice had the femine touch to it now instead of the masculine one that she had almost four or so months ago. She wanted to set some ground rules before they actually had a battle but she didn't want to keep using mack as the speaker; if jazz or salisbury was here she'd have an easier time since both of them didn't mind it...
W-we n-need to... To.. Se-set s-s-some g-g-ground r-rules; a-and I-I'm... N-not su-sure... I-if y-you wa-want.. T...To... Do a "P-prize." T-thou...Though th-that's p-p-part of t-the norm... Isn't it?
The totadile winced at all the stuttering; her voice didnt' sound too terribly thrilled at being used. Hell it had been the first time in the last few months since she actually had physically spoken at all. The Tyrantrum glanced down with his eyebrows raised but for some reason stayed silent.

AND I SAID HELLO, HELLO Both the pokemon and the man covered the ears when the dinosaur began shouting, who knew such a creature would talk in such a manner? The only thing Hugh was able to get out of the dinosaur's words was something about a 'BATTLE'. Once the yelling stopped and the ringing had left his ears, the man's hands slowly fell to his sides.
"Quite the mouth on him, huh?" He asked, smiling slightly even though his ears were sore. At least the smaller crocodile took up the talking, his speech sounding much better compared to the Tyrantum's. "Oh no I'm sure your trainer is good as any. Either way practice makes perf---" And then the dinosaur began to talk kin his loud speech, causing the man and Blaziken to cover their ears once more. "Does he always talk like that?" He asked with a chuckle as he removed his hands.
Once the pokemon had both silenced themselves, their trainer finally took the time to voice her own opinion instead of telling her totodile to speak for her. However, when the woman finally started speaking, Hugh understood why she chose not to speak. Perhaps the whole morphing process had done something to her speech, he knew next to nothing about the whole Pravus mutation and gene splicing and what not. He'd rather be left in the dark about that one.
"Oh no no, we don't have to have a prize or anything" He explained. Who gave out prizes for a friendly battle? He didn't have that much money on hand at the moment so he couldn't offer that. Perhaps a friendly handshake would do? "Uh, ground rules.." He looked to his Blaziken who simply nodded. A great help Tracey was being.
Hugh had to think for a moment before he finally suggested some 'ground rules.' "Okay, how about a three on there battle, if you have three pokemon? And above all, no killing of Pokemon, please. If any pokemon on either side is unable to continue fighting, we'll count that as the pokemon being out. You're allowed to switch out Pokemon as you please. Anything else you'd like to add?" The man smiled at the woman, oblivious to the fact that nearly all of pokemorphs were pravus affiliated.

Milky blue eyes blinked and the blue furred morph tilted her head slightly at the comment along with the question; had he always talked like that? From what Tyrus had been informed his manner of speech apparently was an impediment to certain aspects of concentration that was required for stronger abilities of hers. She felt a small smile touch her lips and she simply nodded; she heard mack speak a hint of irritation working amidst the apparent amusement. He had gotten used to the loud Tyrantrum; sal and jazz on the other hand hadn't. They both tried to stay farther away from the larger reptile in order to keep their ear drums intact. The totadile crossed his arms and huffed; the Tyrantrum looked down at him and frowned but didn't say anything for some reason. He was probably too focused on the fact there was going to be a battle; though the question mack posed did catch his interest.
It's hard to shut him up really; imagine being in a room with him. Tyrus you didn't bring Jazz or sal with you; so are you going to stand in?
Probrably, though to be fair I'm rusty
Wait you.... I didn't know you even knew how to fight...
Full of surprises aren't I?
The morph blinked and then nodded; she couldn't be certain some trainers always wanted some sort of something for a battle even if it was friendly so she had to be sure. To be fair her wallet hadn't been hurting ever since she had joined the pravus and become a morph; though there was a hellishly good reason for that. She simply nodded in agreement and then blinked a few times as Hugh looked to his blaziken. The morph stifled a giggle and then felt herself frown; why would they even allow the fight to go that far? Killing wasn't something the morph was going to allow especially during a friendly battle. She patted mack on the head who sighed a little bit and looked up at her; the morph had chosen to attempt to talk once more. When she was back in pravus a few days ago they had told her she had to choose between physical speech and something akin to telepathy. She didn't believe them and tried to do both but it seemed to be straining her immensely. There was lots of stuttering and a few times she stopped completely with a frown before gently massaging her throat.
That sounds fair, Technically I have three pokemon if you want to include myself. Mack and Carlo here would be the ones having the bout if that seems unfair though. Maybe after the battle we can hit a movie or something? I know one of the local places has a pretty good flick choice going~
The last part was said rather shyly; she wasn't trying to be flirtatious she just didn't like going to movie theater's alone. While her pokemon themselves didn't mind going she always liked bringing someone else besides them with her. Ontop of that she had a hard time making friends past the few oddballs she was meeting as of late

AND I SAID HELLO, TYRUS HUGH DIDN'T WANT TO THINK ABOUT THE TYRANTUM if he were to share a small room with him. Of course the dinosaur would make quite the opera singer as it sounded as though he could break glass with that voice. Hugh and Tracey simply stood quietly as the pair conversed about what he assumed to be the trainer's pokemon.
However, when one of them mentioned Tyrus stepping in, it seemed rather weird. He could see that she was of course a morph, a mixture of man and 'mon, but it still didn't seem natural to him. "Two on two could work just as well!" Hugh quickly added, he didn't want to see a human, or something close enough to human, to be flipped around on the battle field by something as powerful as a pokemon.
Hugh didn't mind doing a two on two, although it was always rather difficult to choose a pokemon from his nearly full team. Tracey was always his first choice, but there were other pokemon in his arsenal that probably wanted in on the action as well.
Soft laughter rumbled up the man's throat and through his lips at the woman's definition of a prize, he wasn't laughing at her. "Winner takes the other out to a movie? Sounds fair." There was no harm in watching a flick on the big screen, besides he had never visited the movie theater or the mall in the first place. It could easily be a way for him to see something new.
Raising a hand and pointing a finger he gestured towards a grassy area that had a few trees dotted around it. "That would make a good battle field don't you think?" He questioned as he looked at the woman and her pokemon then to his own pokemon.
It looked as though today was going to be a rather interesting day off.
Hugh gently elbowed his partner in the arm before heading over towards the makeshift field. Which pokemon would he use? He could only choose two out of his team of four, Nanny Marie, the old deaf Kangaskhan was simply that a nanny and was incapable of participating in battles.
Perhaps Tracey and Ollie would be a good start, the latter of which rarely got the chance to participate outside of his pokeball due to his immense size.
