RAZIEL KAVALIERIS
20. MUTANT. MALE. NEUTRAL/FORTUNE-TELLER/GENERAL SPIRITUAL GUIDE/PART TIME TEACHER.
ABOUT THE PLAYER:
OOC Account: Rogue
What do you wish to be called?: Rogue is just fine! :3
Other Characters: Nope~
BASIC INFORMATION:
Full Name Raziel Kavalieris
Nickname(s): Raz, The Fortune-Teller, Soothsayer
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Allegiance: N/A
Occupation (Position) : Raziel owns and runs a small shop, where he offers the use of his abilities to glimpse into the future of others--at the price of fifty dollars per session. Through this shop he also runs a small little Sunday-school type service for free to all children, up to the age of fifteen, who wish to come. He teaches life lessons and such with this program, and will personally deliver the child back home at the parent/guardian's request.
Species: Mutant / Blessed Chosen
- Precognition: Raziel's most powerful ability is that of being able to forsee future events before they happen. Though when first triggered they came in visions, he is now able to project these visions using a crystal ball. The ball glows a deep mix of purple and blue colours when in use, and seems to look as if there is some sort of life inside the fog and light, the colours shifting and turning. However, most of the time, he only uses the ball to see into the futures of others. This part of the ability can be controlled, as he only sees the futures of those he selects when using the ball. His visions also still come about, but have a much more general spectrum, and, as the future is constantly in flux, the visions (including those of other's futures) are subject to change.
- Telekinesis: This is a secondary ability at best, and isn't very powerful. He can use it to make small things float, and the largest thing he uses it for is the crystal ball, which is almost always on him if he is leaving the shop for a long period of time. Raziel can also use the ball in combat, as he can throw it using the telekinesis, pulling it back and such.
- Photokinesis: Or, in other terms, light manipulation. However, the light which Raziel can manipulate (and summon forth), is not just any light; it is divine in nature. Given to him as a blessing from the Creator (Arceus) himself, it is mostly effective against hostile ghosts, but can be used to attack anyone. The light's use isn't all offensive of course, as it can also be used for comfort, and as an accompaniment to things like blessings, even possessing a very weak healing capacity. The light can take various forms, all dependent on Raziel's mind and imagination, however, there are three attack variations which he uses mainly (any others outside of these would be less-powerful versions of the three listed here). All of them require an incantation (spoken or thought) and can be dodged if quick enough. He can also be interrupted when "casting" these, which would cause him to have to start over again. Using this ability causes a certain effect on his voice for the duration of use, amplifying it and making a sort of echoing quality.
Dawn Breaker:
---------- "In the name of the Creator, I call upon the light of the dawn which leads us to the daybreak. Banish this evil and form a sword of judgement! Dawn Breaker!"
This attack forms a "sword" out of the light, which is then flung from Raziel's hands towards the enemy. Used as a projectile, has a high chance of missing, especially if the enemy and is one of the lower-tier attacks. At best, this attack can disable or disarm an opponent for a short period.
Blessed Star:
---------- "The light of the Heavens shall rain upon all who hinder me! In the name of God, show your might! Blessed Star!"
Unlike the previous attack, this one instantly creates an intricate star shaped rune below the feet of the person it is aimed at. It can only be used on one person and is much more draining than the first attack. The rune glows brightly and a blinding light shows from it, wrapping the victim in a swirling tornado of what seems like millions of light fragments that both blinds and leaves burn-like damage on the target. This attack can deal more damage than Dawnbreaker, and has a chance of weakening the opponent if it works. It is still avoidable, but less so than the first.
Holy Judgment:
---------- "Oh, Holy One, cast thy purifying light upon these corrupt souls! Now...let there be light! Holy Judgment!"
Holy Judgment causes massive pillars of light to fall from the heavens upon the battlefield, dealing a blow with such a powerful form of holy light that it burns where it touches; Raziel can control how many pillars fall and where they go, if he concentrates. If he does not control them, ten of them will come down at random spots. This is the only attack that has the potential to fatally wound someone, but it is very taxing to the point that if he were to even attempt using it more than once, he would be put into a catatonic state for an entire day afterwards.
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:
Hair: White, and he wears it in a sort of shaggy style, down to his neck in length.
Eye Color: Red
Height: 5'9
Build: Lithe, but with some muscle.
Skintone: Pale, but not in a sickly way. He's just a shade lighter than most people.
Other Appearance Information:
The first thing one would notice about Raziel is all of the white he wears. Not only is his hair naturally a whitish-silver sort of colour, but he is always dressed, head to toe, in white. His basic outfit is as follows; a pair of jeans and a button up shirt (that is sometimes a bit too small for him.), and boots that come up to his calves, the laces a pure white as well. The boots vary in style and length, and some of the time he is even found barefoot, weather permitting. Over this is a hooded cloak, which flows down to his ankles; the cloak is sleeveless and draped over the shoulders, hooked together in front; while in the store he tends to wear the hood so it’s positioned in the middle of his head, leaving some of his hair untouched. The next feature would be Raziel’s eyes; they are a faded shade of red, although when he uses his powers they tend to get a sort of glow about them.

Personality:
- Strange: Raziel possesses a certain way of going about things that may be seen as strange by others; he is almost ritualistic in certain routines, and he speaks in a almost-riddle like manner, especially when telling fortunes.
- Kind: Though he is generally polite to most, his true kindness is extended towards children. He has a soft spot for them, and in his heart cares deeply for them.
- Secretive: Despite his kindness to children and general politeness towards others, Raziel is most definitely a man who likes to keep his secrets. It will take him quite a while to open up, though he may expect to know (and may even come to find out) a whole novel about you or someone he cares about.
- Loyal: Once you have Raziel's loyalty, you most definitely have it. He's loyal to those he trusts, though trust is a rather hard thing to earn from him. There are those that almost automatically have it, but these tend to either be children or people he's known in the past.
- Lonely: Although he's slightly known around town, and has his small class of students from time to time, most try and get out of his way as quick they can, and don't trust him because of his job, ability, and overall strange-ness. However, most of them won't say anything, and though he's content where he is at the moment, Raziel often feels quite alone in the world, even when surrounded by people.
BACKGROUND:
History:
- Raziel was born, as most people are, to a loving family, in the Hoenn region. His mother died shortly after giving birth to his younger brother, Michael, when Raziel was around five years old. In an effort to help his sons cope, Raziel and Michael’s father relocated the family to Remoor. Their father was a good man, teaching his sons all he knew of life; from him was where Raziel obtained his belief in a higher power, something bigger than even the Pokemon. In Remoor, Raziel lived quite happily with his family until the age of eighteen, his brother being only thirteen at the time when the whispers of Mewtwo began. At first, Raziel’s father shrugged it off, and, accepting that his father knew best, shrugged it off as well. It wasn’t until the very town they were in was attacked that the rumours and whispers became a harsh reality.
As things quickly crumbled into ruin around them, the two brothers were separated from their father, never to see him again. It was only a short amount of time later that Raziel lost Michael as well. The experience, though he continually tries to forget it, still haunts him to this day, and is the reason his powers triggered themselves. It was in the final stages of the war, and he’d become hopeful that soon it would be over, and he could live out his days with his brother, however they may have to. But, the powers that be didn’t hold that card in their hands. During the heat of the attack, Raziel had become separated from his brother, forced to evacuate the small settlement that they were staying in. He forced his way out of the crowd and arrived back in the camp, only in time to see his brother’s body fall cold onto the ground. Horrified at this, he screamed, attracting the attention of something; the next he knew, he was out cold. It was also from this event that his love and protectiveness for children came.
This love and protectiveness would be put to the test a year later; he had been traveling with the remaining settlement's people, which included ten children, four of which had been orphaned. As if he had been their father, he made sure each child was properly fed when they could be and was taken care of, doing so especially for the orphaned ones. There was an incident where another Pokemon attacked Raziel and the children when he'd taken them away from the settlement's bare bones camp to tell stories---this time, however, he had begun to master his telekinesis, and used it to his advantage. He escaped the fight with a small but deep wound in his stomach that was bleeding profusely. As if by a miracle he survived, but passed out for a full day.
When he finally awoke, Raziel’s head felt as if it had been split open; images assaulted his mind. A town, people in it….strange shops, and what appeared to be a flourishing land; in this town, he saw someone dressed in all white, walking down the street, an strange glass orb floating around in the air, his hands making circular movements around it, as if he controlled the ball’s movements. And when the stranger’s face came up from the ball, Raziel saw his own eyes. Convinced that what he had seen was the answer to their constant wandering, he persuaded the others to follow him where this vision had foretold he would be. It was not until a long time later that he would be rewarded by Arceus himself, whom Raziel had styled himself a priest of, with the power to channel divine, holy light---he even met the All-God in a vision, although only he and a certain fairy know of such a vision.
So, sometime later, this was how he entered into Nada Citadel, just as his vision had predicted, along with his band of former settlers, although a few had died off. He’d spent the time in between learning the ins and outs of these powers he was blessed with, attributing them to the higher power his father had spoken of so long ago. Now, he resides here permanently, and has opened up a small shop in which he uses his abilities; a fortune-teller’s shop. Amongst the people of the Citadel he’s quite well known, and even teaches a small class of children on Sundays about many of the same things his father once taught him.
ROLE-PLAYING SAMPLE:
Snow would always remind him of Flanoir---it wasn't that it never snowed in Iselia, it was just, well, Flanoir was the city of snow, where the white stuff seemed always to be falling. He was cold and had been for quite a while after he'd arrived here about a week ago, especially when he was told that the shops wouldn't accept Gald in exchange for things. This puzzled the young mage, and at the same time, had made him quite sad, because it told him that he really wasn't in his world anymore. And that thought was unthinkable---just as the two worlds had been reunited, just as all they'd set out to do accomplished, he was dragged here?! It wasn't fair! In fact, it was so unfair that Genis had gone to bed with tears in his eyes for the past few nights just thinking about it.
However, there was one thing he'd found out that seemed to give this place something redeeming. The racism against half-elves that was so prominent in his homeworld---that racism he and Raine had just been out to go and try make better, to make a better world for their race, for all races, that racism was not prevalent here. If it was, than he hadn't noticed it---rather, it didn't seem like most people talked to him. But, not talking to him was better than constant insults and slurs.
"I wish the others were here..."
It had been with that thought in mind that Genis had found himself in the park, simply wandering around in a light coat. Somehow he'd avoided landing in the orphanage just yet. That had been something someone said to him when he'd bought the light coat with the bit of money his Gald had been transferred into, and for right now the stubborn silver-headed boy was refusing to go there.
"I'm no orphan, Raine's taken care of me my entire life! She's my sister, but still..."
And yet, even as he thought that, another thought flickered through his mind; it would be nice to have someone to play with. But....his heart wasn't healed enough for new friends, not even if he really wanted any. He had room for Lloyd, for his sister, for Colette, and the rest of the group, but Mithos had left his mark on the mage's heart in more ways than one. It would be quite a while until he was able to even think of opening himself back up to anyone new after that.
His thoughts soon drifted towards Mithos--towards all he'd been, and all he could have been as well. Blue eyes stayed mainly at the ground, but he found them soon moving towards the falling snow as well. "Maybe he could have been happy here." he thought, feeling his eyes brimming up once more with tears that Genis held back. No. He couldn't cry for him, not right now. He could cry for him some other time, some other day when he had the others back. But not right now, not...
In the distance, a form caught his eyes that made him wipe the warning wetness from his eyes. Was that a person? As if the cold winter's breeze had whipped through his mind, Genis took in a deep breath and rushed over towards the other person as fast he could, surprising himself when he didn't trip over a patch of ice. "Hey! Are you alright?!" he called, finally getting towards the person and kneeling down.
