Cold...Sildrae cold. Hungry...Sildrae need food. Want candy. Why can't move? Sildrae scared!
Eyes wide open, Sildrae stared into the lights of the surrounding room, figures moving in his vision, and he twitched a finger, the cold of cryosleep fading from his body as he was thawed by the automated system systematically, letting him slowly regain control of his body.
Sildrae...angry!
With a massive roar, he pulled his tail from the chamber door, and with a strike upon the door, slammed it wide open and roared once again, letting the world know...the beast was released.
Some time earlier.
The door had been stuck for years, kids constantly trying to get in with crowbars and other random objects, the outside battered by the ages, yet the Pravus facility remained tight as a drum the whole time, though no Pravus agents had ever come to visit it, leaving many to believe it wasn't watched or monitored.
It wasn't far from a subway station, a rail line tracking off the normal course, a private line just for Pravus...one that hadn't been used in a long time, even before the subway had been abandoned altogether. It led to a small station of its own, with a loading bay leading to large, hanger-like sliding doors that looked incredibly heavy and thick. To the left of the hanger was the door. The Pravus seal was on its middle, or at least, an older version of it, a line running top to bottom, indicating that it was meant to slide open from the center. If it did, it would easily fit a pair of Charizards side by side, wings open at that.
This day, another gang of punks thought they'd give that door a try, thinking that they'd find some grand treasure inside, abandoned by Pravus for whatever reason, leaving them with the bounty for the taking. And so, one last try...and the door slid open an inch for the leader, who'd boasted his strength many times over, and as he began to feel a moment of glory, the alarms went off. Loud and screeching, the wail of the sirens sent the gang running, hoping against hope that they wouldn't run into a Pravus agent along the way.
Deep inside, near the eastern wall, a dark hallway led to the one place in the facility that was brightly lit. The walls were lined with chambers that, covered as they were with frost and mist, could not be seen into, though each had a plate with experiment numbers upon them. But among them all, a single chamber stood in the center. Larger than the rest, it was marked with hazard signs and warnings to not open without first reading the infograph. The window into the chamber was heavily iced over, the thing inside completely hidden...save for the sharp object sticking out of the door, also frozen over from the long freeze.
As the klaxon sound pressed into the derelict tunnels, scaring even some wild pokemon, an alert was sent out to the headquarters. Urngrad's lab had been opened, meaning it was time to retake what had been left behind, before someone else did.

The first thing to interrupt her sleep was a blaring alarm from her computer; the second was the morph falling off of her couch and clonking her head hard against the floor. A loud curse was uttered and the blanket that covered the morph's semi naked body was thrown aside. This alarm in particular was the alert her to any pravus messages flagged important enough to be considered top priory. She had only gotten two of those before and neither of them were when she was sleeping. Hell pravus seemed to do these sorts of things when someone was fully awake with someone in a suit.
Tyrus yawned massively and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes before hitting the key on her computer to stop the constant blaring from the speakers. The sound was high pitched and made the morph wince; she had to pick something that had annoyed her else she would of never woken up. She felt the beginning of a snarl about her features as she noted the blood red outline and the black flag next to the message. The fact that it had a black flag made the morph pause and read over the content line; Top priority message? Wasn't that sort of things reserved for officers and the like? She figured she didn't rank that high and guessed it probably was a mistake.... However she had to open it just to double check.
Interrogation Officer Black,
There has been an breach at site 67-856, you are mandated to investigate and confirm activity in the area of the western tunnels. [block c of the report will designate your role further if clarification is needed.] The Senior on scene will be Dr. Vaulli, You will delegate authority to them and consider them your operations officer in field. This message is flagged as read when opened and you have one hour to respond to the orders. Your transport will be waiting in block B of your current facility with further briefing...
Tyrus felt her blood run cold and she sat down a hand going to her head; she was considered an officer apparently? She didn't figure she carried that sort of authority at all! The Morph bit her lower lip and read further the rest of the message going over her requirements and actions that she was allowed to take during the course of this operation. Halfway she stopped and started getting dressed; her outfit was the crazy witch hunting garb that she had become increasingly known for. At least that's what everyone called it. It wasn't long before the morph was out the door; her mind blazing with questions and her hands checking her pockets to ensure she had everything.
Not an hour later the morph was on a helicopter bound for Site 67-856, she didn't know why they gave it such an obscure name. Hell she figured it had an more official one than that; or that pravus no longer wished to associate whatever had gone on in there with pravus and just wanted the damn thing scrapped. The last paragraph of her official orders was confusing as all hell and made her have to read it over and over again just to make sure that she wasn't reading it wrong. By the sounds of the damn thing she was supposed to retrieve anything inside that would be deemed valuable but in the case of being unable to reclaim it... To destroy it so that further issues such as this would not arise. The list of options further deepened and the morph felt her face scrunch in anger. So between the two of them and this group of lackies they were to claim everything inside and destroy what they couldn't take with them.
When the chopper landed the morph was a flurry of activity; sending the handful of humans that had been with her to set up a perimeter around the breached facility. The morph didn't waste any time prying into the few human's heads that were around and giving them orders they would have to carry out. She loved being a psychic sometimes but others she felt as though she abused her powers far too much. The few armored cars that arrived next to the tracks she informed them to try to keep onlookers far away. If any media showed up she didn't want to have deal with them. She figured she might have a few more minutes to get this place ready for her and this Dr. Vaulli to start figuring out what to keep and what to scrap....

all alone he turns to stone while holding his breath half to death Perhaps it was out of respect for the scientist's more...delicate composure, but Adelard was not alerted to the news by a blaring alarm, which likely would have given the poor morph a heart attack. Instead, while charting out some results at home from the comfort of his couch, there was a small email notification. Seeing as this usually only happened when the email was actually important, and not some sort of junk mail or spam, he decided to click it rather than simply let it stew until his chart was done. It was certainly a good thing that he did, for the information inside was more than just an update from his cousin, as he expected it to be.
He scrolled through the contents, his eye retaining its dull and indifferent expression. "Ugh." Really? And he thought he would have some nice time alone for another twenty four hours. This new development was just hectic -- and somewhat worrisome. He hoisted himself off of the couch, and began to get ready for the departure. While he supposed the 'newly-discovered' (he remembered reading about the coot who used to run it) facility was interesting, he didn't get why he of all people was the one who had to be sent out there to retrieve a bunch of presumably useless materials. And working together with someone else -- let alone the fact that it was the interrogation officer? What the hell was this, some type of high-risk military operation?
As he neared the Tunnels, his assumption became unfortunately accurate. He did not take a helicopter like Tyrus had, but had instead taken the far more covert route of a normal taxi. Yet now he could see why they might have wanted to outright airlift the leading officers into the situation. Near the entrance, the area began to get outright jammed with people. The taxi, of course, had to stop. It was the end of the street -- only walking to that decrepit area of the slums. Adelard stepped out, and began to personally make his way to the site.
He knew the exact directions to this breached facility, but he didn't need any guidance other than the crowds that were beginning to part around him. Six, broad wings and a frightening aura caused the people to shift away in fear. To be honest, he was quite frightened of himself as well, but at least there weren't too many compounding factors. Even if the inside of the tunnel entrance was dark, the masses somehow made it more bearable, as if somehow the situation became a little more real. Of course, the situation was still frustrating, no matter how many people were there.
Finally, he found his way to Site 67-856. Armored cars? Really? He approached a man bearing Pravus's garb, and flashed an identification card at him. The grunt trembled, and gestured for him to enter. Honestly, the poor sap probably would have let him in regardless of who he was. The tendrils currently wriggling in his hair and collar did not exactly suggest a person he could simply push away. Adelard was in, and now that he was able to see the 'officer' to be working under him, he suddenly understood why he was the one chosen to be here.
Tyrus likely would have spotted him right away. The dark black coat with its silver fur collar, along with the wings, wasn't too hard to miss. "You're Officer Black, correct?" He knew this morph -- she was in his files. Reports had put an emphasis on her potent psychic abilities. They expected danger here. So, of course, they'd probably choose a Senior who they felt was capable of fighting as well. He almost laughed at the thought. What, would he just scare the horrors lurking inside away? He wasn't exactly battle ready. Still, a mission was a mission, no matter the higher ups' opinion of him.
If Tyrus tried to read his mind, it would be very difficult. With the type advantages of both Dark and Ghost, his thoughts weren't exactly vulnerable. He surveyed the site again, and took a few steps towards the breached facility. "So what's the initial assessment? I want to get this damn thing over with."
Eloquently spoken, and in a rather deadpan manner. In truth, he was also hiding some of the nervousness he felt towards the barely open entrance in front of him. It looked eerily...dark in there. All the more reason to get the mission done quickly.

Thankfully, despite the outside crowds, the tunnels had been kept clear enough of the riffraff that the Pravus grunts could do their work, and get the doors fully open. Thankfully, one of the technicians was able to get lubricants into the door frame, and soon it slid open with nary a creak.
The inside lit up like a christmas tree, the entryway overhead lights almost all turning on...though one or two did throw sparks before shorting out. The walls, the floor...everything was almost blindingly white.
This entry chamber had the usual security checkpoint, with double doors to the left of the security office window that led further in. In the wall to the right was a single door, leading into the hangar bay. This ante-chamber felt comfortably cool. Taking the right door, the hangar itself was empty, but the door controls were easily in reach, and responded to security badges perfectly fine.
The doors leading further in would need little coaxing to open, and the hallway was well lit, albeit a little chilly. Small labs lined the hallway to either side, but the double doors at the end were where the real prize lay. The main lab.
Entering the lab through those doors, one would feel that it was impressive in size for being an 'outpost' lab. But as for machinery...little had been left behind. A few computer monitors, but no towers for them to be hooked into. A massive surgery table, but no surgeon's station to go with it. And in the back in a corner, a power substation that was running like a charm. It looked as if it had been made to require little maintenance over the years.
The center of the large lab had a simple circular dip that looked just big enough for pokemon training, a few balls of rubber lying around in it...all of them looking pierced through by something sharp. And to the east...the right of the doorway entry, was another hallway, this one with warning labels all around the doorless entrance. Most of them biohazard signs, a few of them noting 'dangerous test subjects'.
Entering this hall would set off mental alarms as the temperature drops drastically the moment one passes that doorless entrance, as if there is a temperature barrier there. Frosty breath, shivering grunts...all signs of its chill. For at the end of the hallway sat a cryo-stasis room. Lending itself to three floors, the first being the topmost, with stairs leading downwards to the bottom lining each side, it held at least a hundred cryopods, if not more. The glass over them all was frosted over, nigh impossible to see into.
However, one stood out the most. A gigantic cryopod that took the center of the bottom level. Unlike the other pods, this one seemed all steel construction, save for one or two glass panes for viewing, which were like the rest of the glass, too frozen to see into. It also has what appeared to be a spike driven into it from the inside sticking out, frozen condensation leaving icicles to hang from the spike.
Thankfully, a computer terminal that was integrated into the wall near the entrance was still working, and held all the information needed to know what was in these pods.
