While it may be more appropriate for you to contact HR, as we happen to have protocols in place for a reason, I am currently available. What is it, Mister Ryder? PRESIDENT MCKENNA IS TYPING...

. . . Yes, I know Mr. President this is the childs way in contacting you and really unprofessional coming from one of your top Majors in the Military. But I am currently . . . tied up, so to speak, and just wanted to send a quick message if I may. . . . . . . I would like to talk to you in person, Sir. If you have time to pencil me in for a meeting, maybe a week from now or something, that would be great Mr. President. . . Sir. I would appreciate the time. MAVERICK IS TYPING...

Children, for the most part, do not have personal numbers, Mister Ryder. You type decently at the very least. I do hope you are not literally tied up. That is a matter for your significant other—or the police. As your service record is impeccable, I will attempt to fulfill your request. If this is idle hero worship, General Ryder, I suggest you go elsewhere. Is next Tuesday, 9:15 am, acceptable?

. . . I can handle my situation Mr Present, Sir. I promise you that everything on my side is fine as of right now. . . And although this meeting is not urgent and does not need to be addressed right away if you are busy, I assure you I will not bother you with.... idle hero worship. My business is strictly professional Sir. Thank you for your time Sir. I will await your summon....

You were using 'tied up'to represent something else then? If it is alright--I wonder what the issue is. Regardless, as you are straight forward, I trust you will tell me soon enough.
I believe you, Mister Ryder. I will see you then. Please, in order to allow time for processing, arrive at least fifteen minutes early. if it involves a transfer, please bring the proper forms. I do not have time to fill those out.

Of course Sir. If you wish to be informed on my present situation when I am finished, I will report to you when we meet in person. Although truthfully Sir, it is nothing that you really need to be aware of or concerned about. It is more on the personal side than anything else. Yes Mr Present. I will be there fifteen minutes before hand and if I do have anything to present to you, I will be sure to have it ready for you when I arrive for our meeting. Thank you Mr. President for taking the time to write back. I will eagerly await for your summon. Farewell.

It would be helpful to have context for this situation. For example, if it is personal and not worthy of my concern, my calendar would figuratively wonder about the point of its appointment.
Be certain to retain any copies for yourself. Accounting or health services may misplace it.
I will hear from you then, Mister Ryder. Farewell.
