The flower fields was a dangerous, yet enticingly beautiful garden. Gaillardia was nearly drawn there by such beauty and temptation, yet he would always remind himself that the flowers were poisonous and threatened to cause pain to whoever dared to take a whiff of their poisonous petals and pollen.
Yet, something else drew the legendary lion to the fields. It was not the promise of beautiful flora that brought him here. No, something else was here. Something. Gaillardia moved about the area quietly, his ears and eyes focused on his surroundings. His own home had been burned to ashes by a naive young pokemorph. It would take time for him to give life to the fallen forest once again. It tore his heart to see black ashes covering his once green and bountiful home. Why did the humans have to be so careless? First it was the infected, but now the human's creations ended up burning his forest?
After all the work and favors the gods did for the humans, this was how they repaid them. With pain, suffering and more pain. It was saddening and sickening all at the same time. A paw stepped forward into the grass, the feline could scent the poisonous pollen of the flower from the infamous flower fields. Nothing seemed to be amiss, besides the condition of the flowers. Yet...
Gaillardia soon stopped, his ears even more alert as he heard the sound of a battle, and it didn't sound like too good for the other side. Without hesitation, the lion pushed his limbs forward at a run and entered the fields. Green eyes looked across the field and heard the sound of a snake.
The god did not know that he was in the presence of a goddess. Not yet. A growl rumbled from deep within his throat as he set his eyes on the serpent that had grabbed hold of the other pokemon. It was within his nature to protect others and from the looks of it, it appeared as though an infected creature was attacking an innocent one.
Not wanting to risk his own sanity, the feline would refrain from sinking his own fangs into the serpent's violent scaly flesh. Instead the cat parted his jaws and unleashed a ball of energy towards the creature. "This is no place for you!" The feline then leaped forward and lashed out with unsheathed claws before attempting to separate the creature's hold on the other wild Pokemon.
Gaillardia glared at the snake before unleashing yet another ball of energy to finish the job. Flicking his leafy tail he turned to the creature that had been attacked. "Are you okay?" He asked calmly as he sniffed the stranger briefly. "Are you hurt?" He asked, pretty much the same question he had asked merely seconds before.
ooc ; idk. gaillardia's here okay. xD
