Your love is my poison
And I'm drinking it down
It was quiet, and cold.
Snow was falling down, created by the many ice-type poke'mon who were stationed throughout the city. He didn't care that it was really a proper white Christmas, so long as there was snow.
Snow trickled down, silent and gentle. The night had fallen over the city, the many merry lights now lighting up the streets in hues of red, green, blue, yellow, and every other spectrum of the rainbow. It was beautiful, the first time that he had seen such a sight. Before his family had never celebrated Christmas, and the town had been small and poor, unable to celebrate the holiday seasons properly.
But since coming to Remoor, everything had changed.
He would never regret leaving everything that he had known behind in order to chase after his childhood love, Xylia. Though he did not understand the feelings, nor could he put words to them, he fully understood that he cared very deeply about her, and would do anything for her happiness, no matter what the cost.
Trotting up a few snow covered and partially rotten steps in the corner of the city slums, he came in sight of a very tiny and unassuming looking home. This was where he lived now-- a far cry from the mansion of before, but he wouldn't have traded it for anything in the entire world.
Opening the door, the windows being the only source of light in the small studio-like house, he called out in a happy, sing-song tone.
"I'm home~!"
And truly, this was home. And home was where his heart was.
