ADONIS, VICTOR, BLACK
17 - HUMAN - MALE - DEMISEXUAL - NEUTRAL - LOOKING
ABOUT THE PLAYER:
OOC Account: BioHazard
What do you wish to be called?: BioHazard, Bio, just not "late for dinner".
Other Characters: This is my first one.
BASIC INFORMATION:
Full Name: Adonis Victor Black
Nickname(s): Ado
Gender: Male
Age: 17 years
Allegiance: N/A
Occupation (Position) :
Species: Human
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:
Face Claim: Legend of Zelda ✦ Link
Hair color and hair style: A dirty blonde color, worn in a short and slightly spiked up fashion.
Eye Color: A dull deep ocean blue
Height: 5 feet 4 inches
Build: A mixture between average and lilith, although he isn't entirely fair in built. Though he is smaller than most males around his age group.
Skintone: A cream color that is slightly tanned in tone.
Other Appearance Information: There always seems to be one or two things odd about him, mainly his fashion sense as he almost always appears to be overdressed. The long-sleeve shirt he wears always has a sweater on top of it, despite the weather, and sometimes has a hoodie attached to it, otherwise he at least carries some sort of hat around with him. On his hands he wears brown gloves with the finger area ripped off, which match the boots that he wears. Both earlobes are pierced with dull blue earrings attached to them. His earlobes are detached (a recessive trait for humans), making them stand out sort of like elf ears, although they are not pointed.
PERSONALITY:
Likes:
- Dark or dim places; his preference of the dark comes from an odd quirk of his, finding the dark more comfortable and relaxing then a well lighted area. It helps him think, as it gives of an aura of peace and quiet.
- Cocoa/Hot Chocolate; His favorite thing to drink and also the one thing he can comically be seen obsessing over. The reason why he likes it so much is because of the sweet taste, and because it's warm.
- His Pokemon; Mania could very well be described as "the love of his life", although not in romantic terms. Adonis shares a strong bond with the Pokemon he raised, and considers her to be very close to him. Sometimes to the point that, instead of a Pokemon, he treats her like a little sister.
- Tyrus; Probably the one person he still holds respect over, as he did everything he could to try and save their parents on their death bed.
- Research; Something he really enjoys is trying to discover things, or trying to understand what people could generally fail to understand (such as Pokemon, maybe pokemorphs). Although it's more on the side of actual research of understanding, not scientific experiments.
Dislikes:
- His parents; For reasons he deems more personal, believing them in the end to be nothing but self-derived people. It is also the fuel for his general human dislike.
- Humans in general; From his experience at an early age, Adonis had gained a strong dislike for human figures.
- Waiting; He can't stand still for a long period of time without becoming flustered over it. It's considered more of an annoyance to him, but it's still a dislike. You can tell if he's getting impatient if he starts tapping his foot on the ground.
- Pravus; Although not anti-pravus, due to his upbringing he does have quite a bit of dislike towards the organization. At the same time, he had been pretty annoyed by his parents acting like they were the apocalypse.
- Overly bright/neon colors; Kinda wanes in with his like for dark areas, since not only does it hurt his eyes but he thinks it makes the person stick out like a sore thumb, making such things unnecessary.
Strengths:
- Willpower: Whether it be stupid, determination or just sheer dumb luck, he has an immensely strong willpower that's pretty hard to crack down. Albeit it's mental, it actually gives him a strong amount of endurance.
- Endurance: Goes toe-in-toe with his strong will, as he has a very strong endurance. He also has some tolerance of pain.
- Loyal: To those he has high respects for, he is incredibly loyal to them; including those who'd happen to gain his trust. This can become a double-edged sword.
- Quick Footed: Agile due to physical build, he is fairly fast being capable of running from one end of a building (around general size of the inside of an average school building) in less than a minute.
- Intuitive: He's reliant on is instincts, which leads to pretty good amount of reflexes, although it is possible for it to play out as a double-edged sword. Making him seem reckless and foolhardy.
Weaknesses:
- Mistrustful: He isn't very trustful over other people due to his slight cynical outlook on them. So it's pretty hard to gain his trust, which is also a double-edged sword.
- Hot-Headed: Has a very flammable temper, leads him to some fights that possibly regret later. It also leads him to making some pretty stubborn, and brash actions. Such as getting angry in the middle of his parent's funeral, and then stomping out angrily in the middle of the ceremony.
- Un-Cooperative: Generally plays in toe with being hot-headed, as there are times where he will (especially if he's angry or doesn't like you) do the exact opposite of what they ask or tell him to do. Or, at least try to, whether the actual decision be good or bad.
- [li]Loyal: To those he has high respects for, he is incredibly loyal to them; including those who'd happen to gain his trust. This can become a double-edged sword.
- Intuitive: He's reliant on is instincts, which leads to pretty good amount of reflexes, although it is possible for it to play out as a double-edged sword. Making him seem reckless and foolhardy.
Personality:
- Sensitive - This is one of the more "awkwardly positive" traits that he has. Although it's not often shown, the boy is certainly a very sensitive individual and takes a lot of things to heart; especially if he is close to someone or he ends up causing a fight due to his own attitude. Albeit not regretful, he does regret some actions and will feel at fault for a number of things. Other times he'd very well drop whatever supposed mental shield is up, and start showing more of his emotional side.
- Protective - Going hand-in-hand with his sensitive side, he's very protective of people who he has gained a strong emotional attachment. A good example of this is Mania, where if he felt she was in too much danger (although she's a Pokemon), he'd go and try to force himself in between whatever was going to hurt her and herself even though he'd more than likely end up suffering very crucial injuries in the process. That being said, he does not have a "hero's death" mentality.
- Out-Going - Being far from a shy person, he will speak his mind when he wants to no matter what the situation is and really doesn't care what the other person thinks about it. His confidence also makes him a fairly sociable person, and would openly walk up to someone and either start a conversation or ask a question if need be. That being said, he's still very cautious and over observant of how the other person speaks and behaves, due to his mistrusting nature.
- Ill-Tempered - Adonis is only tolerable to an extent, said tolerance already waning has given him a very short and very nasty temper. Often showing signs of irritation, whether through some sort of passive body language or his voice, it is easy to note what ticks him off. So, he's the type of person who would fall for a taunt although at the same time would get annoyed at someone who, to him, attempts to make him angry and just flat out manages to fail.
- Impatient - Not able to stand in one spot for long without becoming agitated, he rather do things the quickest way possible. If he feels that someone is slowing him down, he'll start becoming more verbally violent or harsh. Him tapping his foot on the ground is a sure sign that something, or someone, is beginning to try his patience.
- Sarcastic - Acting as a mental wall to block out his more sensitive side, his tone of voice almost always has a harsh bite to it. These range from turning around what a person says, pointing things out in an ironic matter, or just making a rude remark.
BACKGROUND:
History:
- Adonis was born in a town named Autumns End, a small town that he was too young to know much about it at the time, as a year after he was born his family had been forced to move. This move was caused by an attack by wild Pokémon, destroying the town in the process. The only safe place after that was Nada, the place he afterwards grew up in.
- A few years passed. Life in Nada was quiet, he had an older brother but he never got to spend a lot of time with him. They didn’t interact with each other, even if he tried; so it was almost as if they lived in their own separate worlds at the time. When Adonis started tending to school, his parents began to get a bit stricter with him. Their parent’s strictness with him had involved schooling, and a few other things such as “trying” to teach him about Pravus being some sort of fraud or something. However at that time he didn’t actually care that much.
- When Tyrus graduated, Adonis was pretty much considered a hermit. Besides his school life of course, the boy had grown into a rather quiet and isolated individual. As such, the most interaction he got with others was during school hours. It was around this time period that he was given an egg his parent’s picked up containing a Mawile, to try and break him out of his shell that he gathered. Shortly after he had heard something about his brother having taken up a job somewhere for Pravus, then again it wasn’t that hard to hear with their distinct dislike of it.
- A few years passed and Adonis was fifteen, his Mawile had already hatched by now. Unfortunately, it was at this time that his parents told him that they were sick. Not with what, not with anything else, deeming him too young, but just that they were sick. Them being in their fifties by then wasn’t helping with the disease though, and he had to learn the hard way that his parents were on their death beds. Something that they didn’t seem to care about fighting off, either. This effected him quite a bit, as the brother he barely got to interact with in the first place stopped coming home even less. The young teen was, honestly worried and at that age he didn’t really know what to do either. The best he could do was try taking up Pokémon battling with his Mawile, even if to just try and keep his mind off the drama.
- Then, for what seemed like weeks… Tyrus went missing. Adonis was thrown into a bit of a panic, not entirely knowing what to do with himself. Although he didn’t see his brother often to begin with, the other going missing didn’t settle well with him when his parents were already on their death beds. Adonis by this point started skipping school, doing anything to try and give them some sort of will to stay there. At least with him, and he knew how selfish a thing he was doing by it too. It was a thing his Mawile often scolded him for.
- And then a miracle happened, they were able to be given a cure that would potentially save them. Adonis was more than overjoyed by it, although in the end the disease they had was too much for them to handle… and the cure was too late. Regardless of the over joyful moment, they ended up dying anyways. Leaving the teen confused and distraught.
- Around the time of the funeral, Adonis was actually tempted to not go. Not for any personal feud against his parents, he was still looking for his brother who had miraculously disappeared into thin air. It took a lot of convincing, but in the end he had gone anyways just out of respect for his parents who died knowing their fate all too well.
- During the burial ceremony, he was informed about his brother, more so in regards to the will. He had learned that he wasn’t on there, and upon inquiring why Tyrus wasn’t mentioned he was told that he had gotten some additional support from Pravus to help them recover. Since they were anti-pravus, they took him out and he was not permitted to come to the funeral.
- Adonis stayed until the burial was finished, allowing the information to sink in. During a moment of silence, Adonis threw the flowers he was holding to the ground and stomped right out of the ceremony, followed right after by a very confused and worried Mawile. He was ticked, not at what he was told, not at his parents directly, and not at Pravus. But the actions that were taken towards someone who tried to do a selfless act, to try and save someone close.
- As the years passed he began trying to take up the life of a Pokémon trainer, still having yet to find his older brother in the process as well. The Mawile he had gotten was the closest thing he had to him, in fact… He actually doesn’t know where his parent’s Pokémon went to, either.
Pokemon:
Name: Mania
Species: Mawile
Level: 15
Gender: Female
Ability: Hyper Cutter
Current Experience: 0/?
Origins: Given to him at a young age as an egg, before his parent's death (give or take 10). After hatching her, he had raised her and interacted with her. The attachment between these two are really high due to their early interaction.
Personality: She's generally quiet, only saying things when she feels the need to or is spoken to. This is more due to her semi-shy nature, that although she tends to stay away she happens to be very fond of fights and when she does speak it is blunt. Though if she clearly sees someone being troubled, especially by what she says, she will try to lighten her tone and be sweater. Being raised up with him, Mania has a close bond to Adonis and sees him as more of a brother figure.
Attacks:
- Taunt
- Iron Head
- Fairy Wind
- Bite
- Fake Tears
ROLE-PLAYING SAMPLE:"I-It's f-freezing in here!" Came the voice of a young teen, who was as of currently shaking. His coat was zipped up fully with his face slightly tucked into the collar of it, and his hat was down more over his face. The hood of the sweater he wore was tucked firmly over his head successfully covering his ears and protecting his head from frost bite. Touya was far from prepared from this kind of weather, aside from what he was already wearing when coming to the Digital World. "W-why are w-we here again?" The boy asked, calling out to the small cat-like digimon hopping along. Unlike him, she was doing better with the cold. Maybe it was the fur.
"You're digivice said you had another spirit somewhere around here." Came the reply of the ringless Gatomon. She was standing on her hind legs with Touya's digivice, activated earlier, in her paws. Of course, Athena was fully aware of her friend's cold state. She just believed he was over reacting, they were in the tundra. He should expect it to be cold. "So pull yourself together." Athena added at the end, only for Touya to glare at her the best he could. Which... since he was freezing, really didn't look intimidating.
That being said Touya really hated the cold. It didn't help with the fact that they were in a frozen burial ground. I didn't know digimon had burial chambers. At least it's better than the graveyard. Touya thought to himself, the best he could do to keep himself pre-occupied was to try and keep his brain thinking. It was then though, while the two walked along, he let out a loud sneeze. The sudden dis-balance caused by the sneeze, caused him to slip along the ice-made floor and fall flat on his behind. This got Athena to stop in her tracks and look behind her, only to start laughing at the sight before her and dropping the digivice in the process.
"I-Its n-not funny!" Touya shouted before sniffling and getting up slowly, adjusting his balance. He then bent down and grabbed his dropped digivice as he walked on ahead of Athena who was still laughing. Only shortly after did she realize Touya was moving on without her and run off herself. Of course there were a few slips and slides here and there from the ice physics. She eventually managed to catch up to her partner who was just now starting to open the door to another room, looking at the digivice on occasion to make sure he was going in the right direction.
Of course, they had to forget that he was in a building filled with tombs. This wasn't like Shibuya's graveyard, this was a Mausoleum in the digital world. Which, in that case, Touya could easily disturb a restless spirit for being a spirit wielder in a dead house. This was proved by each of the doors behind them slamming shut as they searched through the house, following the digivice's signal. Unbeknown to the duo of course, as they were too busy gibber-jabbering over the mix of cold and trying to navigate the maze of ice. Or it was like that until the two stopped in a room that seemed to be a dead-end aside from what looked to be a small white flame encased in a never-melting ice.
The door slammed shut and clicked, signaling that it locked itself. The duo felt their heart jump, and they turned around to look at the door. The human walked over to the door out of instinct, just to double check if the door was actually locked. Which, not to surprisingly, it was. "Damn...." Touya said before turning around to Athena. "How do you suppose we get out of here?" He asked the feline. He was still cold, and this was not the best place to be trapped in while you were cold. The best Touya was able to do now is stop stuttering. Athena in response however, shook here head. "I could try attacking the door." She suggested. However, before should could she was interrupted.
"I wouldn't try it." A booming voice sounded throughout the room. Suddenly, if it was even possible, the temperature inside the room dropped lower causing the feline to shiver. Touya tried to cover himself a bit more during the process, letting out another sneeze. Suddenly a transparent figure of a SnowAgumon appeared, except it was made out of ice as if the spirit itself was frozen. "Your defiling of our tomb has upset us, spirit user." It said in a tone of voice that sounded like one was hearing it from under water. The 'SnowAgumon' sent a bone-chilling glare towards the duo before talking again. "I have sealed shut the door to this room. This shall be your final resting place spirit user. DIE!"
Very suddenly, as if on cue, Touya felt his body temperature start to slowly and consistently drop. He looked towards Athena and found her staring at him, wondering what the SnowAgumon meant. Which from that he could only assume it was forcing his own body temperature to drop, and no longer just the room's temperature. After a while the teen started to shiver again, feeling his breath getting raspy. It was dropping at a pace faster then a normal human could handle! From the cold Touya had to drop his digivice onto the ground to try and keep himself warm, wrapping himself under human instincts and falling onto his knees. It was hard to focus.
From there the teen started coughing, as Athena looked between her partner and the SnowAgumon in panic. She fired up lightning in her paws, and attempted to strike at the dinosaur encased by ice only to leave just a scratch. It was solid, however also capable of turning itself intangible as she had slid through after. The SnowAgumon turned it's attention to the cat for a moment. The human's lungs were already giving out, and his lips were turning blue. It was only a matter of time before-
Suddenly Touya's body went pale and he fell over, although was still breathing, but very irregularly. Shortly after a crack appeared on the d-tector. It was over, so the digimon thought. A smile appeared on it's lips at the sound and look of panic on the feline's face. Her face then turned into horror, and then quickly to sorrow. The digimon believing it was over, turned around to the body in attempt to freeze it solid, finishing the job.
That was Until a light came back up from the digivice. "It is time." A voice spoke from the blank digivice screen, sending off the light in the form of a beam towards the wall behind Athena and the SnowAgumon. The area of the wall the light landed on slowly cracked and shattered, revealing the white flame on a wooden pedestal. The flame extinguished itself, revealing another totem and bringing it towards the digivice. Both Athena and the ghost looked at it in shock as it reached the digivice, absorbing into it like a normal totem.
Shortly after the totem reached the digivice, shocking the 'SnowAgumon' even more, Touya's body was surrounded in an egg of data. His skin color returned to normal and his short breathing became less ridged as he transformed into his first spirit fraction. Upon completing the silent spirit evolution, Touya's eyes opened and he shoved a clawed glove through the side of the egg. The egg formed a crack all around it in a circle, allowing Touya to kick the egg open and the data to shatter. Once emerged, the teen-now-digimon shouted out his new form."The everlasting flame, IGNITEMON!"
The SnowAgumon backed up in shock... Was that a champion? No, the power coming off of it was weaker. But it's level wasn't of a rookie either. It growled at the Ignitemon, before using the same technique before in an attempt to drop Touya's body temperature. Only this time, the digimon seemed to shrug it off as if nothing happened. What? Soon, the digimon spirit would get it's reply. "I think you've used up all your juice on that move." Touya's normal apathetic nature was replaced by a more childish side, letting a smirk appear on his face. Athena's face lightened up by this comment, he was okay! Looks like this digimon had forgotten how effect moves worked.
This comment meant that it was the SnowAgumon's turn to go into a state of panic. Which was for a good reason too, after nearly being killed Touya was not going to give this spirit an easy time. With a crack of his knuckles, the Ignitemon's mouth became engulfed by flames making the ghost's eyes widen further. "Petite Inferno." He said with a calm tone of voice, before releasing a searing hot fireball towards the SnowAgumon with the force of an Armor Champion behind it. In a fit of fear, the ghost raised it's arms to shield it's face. Only for the fireball to hit it dead-on and cause it to vanish instantly. To prove the ghost had gone into hiding once again, the door sealing the duo in the room unlocked. Finally, they were free to move on.
In relief of her friend being fine, Athena ran up to the Ignitemon and jumped up at him. Touya in turn ended up catching her, only for the feline to look up at him with concerned yet angry eyes. "Don't ever be that reckless again!" She hissed, causing the teen to shake his head. Sometimes he didn't know what was worse, the Gatomon or his mother. So, still in digimon form he walked out of the Mausoleum. He'd turn back once they got into town, just encase.
