So many costumes! She had to admit, even though it was a simple "ball" and costume contest, that it was a load of fun. People were chatting, drinking (not that she would be), and showing off the variety of costumes. Many were absolutely wonderful and some she honestly held no taste for whatsoever, but she wouldn't (well, couldn't) say such a thing. She was alone for the moment, waiting to find her date for the night, casting her fuchsia eyes across the room.
She had to admit that her costume was rather fitting. Espurr and herself shared the same eyes, and Brynn had felt it would be perfect. The outfit greatly resembled Espurr itself, the ears propped up on her head, and the blue curls spilling out around her shoulders. The sleeves were long and she was comfortable, though the skirt was a little on the short side, only halfway down her thighs. Granted, that was short for her.
Avalon gave a gentle sigh and waited patiently, examining part of her costume with slight interest. ...I hope he didn't forget. Not that she believed he would forget. She adored Raphael to no extent, was practically talked into celebrating Halloween with him by Brynn, not that she at all minded. She was willing to spend every waking moment with the man, no matter the situation.
(okay so i like totally forgot what we were originally doing for this because it's late and just i thought of her eyes and went OMG E S P U R R and alskjdhflaksjdhf but you could totally make him like a cute little Fennekin or something because i really don't remember what we were going to do e-e)

(Gonna try and keep these nice and short for the sake of my muse, hoo hoo. And Fennekin works perfect ouo)
The costume had been created mostly out of what Avalon had wanted--Raphael was not, after all, one to really walk around in a Fennekin costume. It was a bit too cute for his tastes, but the woman was going as an Espurr, and she had practically begged him to something equally as cute--and it was rather hard to say no when it was her. The man had sighed, he had put on his best exasperation face, and he had, for just a moment, begged her not to make him--and in the end he had ended up dressed in a pair of rather puffy orange ears, a small, foxes nose that made his face look much more pointed than it was, and a general suit that went down his whole body, had a tuft of a tall, and was fuzzy pretty much all around.
He was, of course, absolutely delighted to be spending Halloween with her. It was even better than her Pokemon, after his request, had managed to convince her to come to the 'Ball' with him. Raphael had almost not expected it--Yet they were there anyway. The door was open to all, and that included a man looking rather sheepish in a Fennekin costume that was almost too cute for the rather thickset body. It would either make her laugh, or she would find it adorable. He'd, of course, try and convince her that he was adorable--But what else was he supposed to do.
Not all that many people had arrived yet, so it wasn't overly hard to pick her out of the crowd--Those flopped over ears and the outfit she wore made him smile instantly. He just couldn't help. Raphael began to shoulder through the crowd, and when, if she looked over at him, she would be met with a pair of sparkling eyes, "Well know, if it isn't my little Espurr--Looking stunning, as usual." He didn't feel like he could say the same thing about his costume. Instead, a hand reached out for hers, and he reached out to peck her on the cheek.
There was, after all, a reason why he wanted to be here with this person above the others in his life.

It didn't take her long to see him, and oh what great temptation it was to laugh. Avalon had not actually expected him to put the Fennekin costume on, something almost equally as cute as the Espurr costume she was wearing, though she felt hers was a little more revealing than she wanted it to be. The grin that broke out across her face as she reined in the laugh that threatened to make her shoulders shake was wide, expression showing she was happy to the the one she loved so much.
Avalon couldn't make the grin any smaller than it was when he approached her, and when he reached for her hand, she laced her fingers tightly through his, tilting her head into the kiss. Though, she turned her head to give him a quick kiss on the lips before laughing a little. "I didn't think you'd actually wear the Fennekin costume." Though, at his comment of her looking stunning, the blush became apparent on her face and she dropped her head for a moment. She wasn't used to the flattery just yet, probably never would be.
Her hands slipped around him and she hugged him softly, turning to look up at him. "You know you didn't have to wear that costume if you really didn't want to..." She had begged him too, but certainly hadn't believed he would've done so, though she wasn't complaining. "But I'm certainly not complaining that you did." She leaned up on her toes again to give his jaw a small kiss, still keeping her arms wrapped around him. "What do you want to do? There's a haunted house nearby, we could trick or treat, socialize if we wanted, maybe dance..." She laughed a little at the idea, thinking of her form of dancing when no one was looking, "But I can't dance."
