Character Races
[/div] [li]Mutants[/li] These are normal humans with an interesting power or ability. These are the people who can use telekinesis, set things on fire with their mind, and leap tall buildings in a single bound. Mutants are rarer than normal humans and a small subset of the population. A mutation is also the only way, aside from a god's gift, that humans can live beyond a hundred. While there is a wide spectrum for powers, ranging from physical to mental, there are some things mutations cannot do. These powers do not allow users to change their size or grow body parts. A mutant may be able to fly like Peter Pan; they cannot grow a pair of wings to do it with. They are weaker than most Pokemon.
[li]The “Chosen”[/li] These are those chosen by legendaries, or powerful Pokemon, to recieve some sort of advantage or disadvantage. These will be closely examined before accepted. We do not need very many of these; there are likely less than 100 on the planet. Each legendary may only give one blessing. They may only give two curses. We very strongly advise consulting a staff before attempting a profile. - The “Blessed”:
These are the people blessed by legendaries or extremely powerful Pokemon. They receive a gift from their respective deity. These can be physical, mental, or physiological benefits. Most of these blessings are given for great and good deeds. The legendaries do not hand out these gifts frivolously. The power-granted will often reflect the god that gave them. Some examples of powers: immortality (granted by Arceus), great skill in combat (granted by Keldeo), and a beautiful voice (given by Meloetta. The player must have their idea approved by the appropriate legendary. Unlike mutants, these powers are not present at birth; they can also be taken away at a god’s bidding.
- Each legendary may bless one character. Some, such as Arceus, are exceptions; they must receive staff permission.
- Blessings must be given out for good deeds. They may not be given out of personal reasons. Lovers will, without very good logic, not be a recipient of these powers.
- Blessings usually last a much shorter time than any of the others; the gods are cautious with their choices.
- A "Blessed" is unable to express their relationship to a legendary in any outward manner to a normal human; they may speak of it among their own kind.
- The “Accursed”:
These people usually committed great crimes or misdeeds. The gods have decided that they deserve punishment, outside of human justice. These are never beneficial to the afflicted; no one will be cursed with super-strength or godly good looks. Some examples follow: an inability to truly die (accompanied by constant pain), blindness, and being forced to live life in a hideous form. Unlike with mutants, these powers are not present at birth; they can also be taken away at a god’s bidding.
These are subject to limitations and higher staff scrutiny
- Each legendary may curse one character. There are exceptions.
- The punishment must fit the god and the crime. These are rarely given out due to personal grudges.
- Curses are long term
- Speaking of their curse causes pain.
[/ul][/font][/div] [li]Pokemorphs[/li] Pokemorphs are fusions of humans and Pokemon; they are produced by science. Almost all of them, with very few exceptions, work for Pravus. The process is rarely done on anything other than experienced Pravus members. They often have scales, extra limbs, tails, pointed teeth, wings, and other Pokemon characteristics. They are very rarely not obvious in their species; most have far more than just ears and a tail. They also gain powers relating to their Pokemon counterparts. Fire types, for example, can withstand large amounts of heat. The most valuable power for them, especially as spies, is the ability to turn into their Pokemon counterpart. Many humans dislike them.
They are considered humans with human rights. They may own Pokemon and train. They give birth to children in a human-manner. Some of them are mixes of one or more Pokemon. They can evolve through use of stones and under situations of extreme stress. The process is very painful; months of therapy follows.
[li]Ghosts[/li] Are you dead? Ghosts are the spiritual remains of the deceased; they can be either Pokemon or human beings. They range in age from a few thousand years old to seventeen. They are transparent and only able to move things with a great deal of energy. Most of the time, unless their clothing covers it up, you can easily see how they died. Many people in Remoor, used to ghosts, just leave them alone; some citizens, who find their presence an abomination, try to exorcise them. They are rare.
[li]Pokemon[/li] Pokemon are "animals" that are able to control the elements. They are extremely powerful, very dangerous, and subject to the infection. They can live anywhere from thirty years to beyond a few thousand. In Remoor, Pokemon have the ability to talk. Like humans they vary widely in intelligence and abilities. Pokemon do not have the same rights as humans (even if they are mentally equal). There is more variation in coloration than seen in the game; you are allowed to play both hybrids and partially infected Pokemon.
[li]Legendaries[/li] Like the gods of Mount Olympus these are Pokemon that control nature itself. They are immortal and one of a kind; many consider them to be the most powerful beings in the world. They can take on human form in order to disguise themselves and prevent capture. You can view which ones are open in our canon lists. [/ul][/blockquote][/font]

Character Factions
[/div] [li]Pravus Inc.[/li] While Remoor still has a government, the region is controlled by Pravus. This organization originated many years ago as a fraternity at Avarius. They were started as a pharmaceutical company; they eventually purchased enough governmental power to become their own party. At the current moment, using advanced weaponry and Pokemorphs, Pravus is the only thing standing between Nada Citadel and an infected attack. Most people, who find it hard to remember when Pravus did not control them, see them as a part of life. They do dark things behind the scene: experimentation, assassination, war profiteering, exile those that dislike them, and brainwash children. Most of their ranks are not soldiers; they are made mostly of civilian professions, civilian allies, and scientists. This small sector of the population is extremely powerful. They portray themselves as the party of safety, intelligence, and stability. Every so often, to keep the populace happy, they will throw the citizens a bone.
[li]Anti-Pravus[/li] Those in this alignment detest Pravus and their actions; they are usually personally effected by the darker side of the government. Pravus, disguising the attack as a gang fight, destroyed the backbone of Anti-Pravus organizations a few years ago. This alignment is mostly made up of small and splintered factions.
[li]Anti-Pokemon Rights Activists[/li] Some people, for various reasons, hate Pokemon. They believe they are nothing more than animals. These are the people who miss the days of unpaid Pokemon labor, Pokemon abuse, and Pokemon meat. Some are obsessed with how things used to be. They are slowly being overshadowed by those who support Pokemon in their plight of inequality; it was not humans that fought off Mewtwo. The prevalence of the infected, things that are animals, has drawn a few more into the Anti-Pokemon fold.
[li]Pokemon Rights Activists[/li] Do you know who N is? He is one. Pokemon rights activists, who can also be Pokemon, fight for the equality of the creatures. Many trainer are slowly turning to this side of the equation. Many of these humans detest Pokeballs and their implications of slavery.
[li]Legendary Worshippers[/li] Usually thought of as quirky, in an age mostly without religion, these folks hold to the old ways. They give daily offerings to the Legendary of their choice and follow ancient rituals.
