Sarah, Glass
20. Mutant. Female. Neutral Private Eye.
[/i]. Soon Sarah couldn't get enough, and consumed Detective Tales from every description. That included old tales from penny-comics and black-and-white television shows. Richard was proud his daughter was interested in investigations, but tried to push her towards the police more then an independent detective.

Other Appearance Information: One of her obvious features is her body. She's not curvy or overly skinny, but the best descriptor is boyish. In fact, Sarah often finds that she's constantly mistaken for a slightly pretty boy. She doesn't mind this as much as you might think, because it helps prying information out of misogynistic assholes. Sarah tends to hold herself very well, and because of some of her training she seems poised for counterattack at any moment. Underneath she's very athletic and fit. She still has some loss of muscle definition coming from too little training and her youth, but overall she looks like she could be a professional athlete of some description. Due to her work she's often found outside, and so as consequence she can tend to sport a light tan. Nothing too extreme, and Arceus knows Sarah doesn't bronze herself on purpose, but a healthy color to her flesh. Marring the skin, however, there are scars. Due to altercations in past investigations, childhood accidents, or an injury that was a mite bit too deep. Nothing crippling, but it's obvious she knows her way around pain.
Clothing wise, she can often be fairly practical. Generally she has a pair of dark jeans and sneakers, somewhat worn but in fairly good shape. A clean white shirt over her chest, and a dark leather jacket with a small fur collar. Sometimes she mixes it up, and if there's something special planned Sarah pops in with a men's suit. She often disdains more girly apparel, so you won't find her in any skirts or dresses, or even anything far too frilly. Whatever she wears, however, is usually tailored. It has to be, because Sarah has a shoulder holster that she uses to carry her Colt. Nada isn't the safest of places, and sometimes her suspects need the little extra motivation. Whatever she wears, Sarah also seems fond of one certain accessory. She absolutely refuses to go anywhere without her fedora...so don't go trying to steal it.

Personality: Upon meeting Sarah, the first impression would be one of almost childishness. She enjoys goofing off on her down time, and she loves to tell jokes, bad ones or otherwise. She's also mesmerized by games and fairs, and will invariably be drawn off to sample them. She is often mistaken for an airhead because of it, but nothing's further from the truth. Behind her blue eyes lays a sharp and deductive mind, and her eyes are always searching for clues. It has become habit that she can discover fifteen different things about a person just by looking at them, or their surroundings. Sarah's a rather friendly girl, however, and a good person to have as a friend. Her loyalty is next to none, and she is often the first to lend a helping hand to whomever needs one. Mostly, she doesn't even fit the stereotype of Private Investigator. But she'd be the first to tell you about judging books by their cover, or Gumshoes by their trench-coats. Sarah has a deeply-instilled passion for justice and crime-solving, She was indoctrinated in the art of law by both her parents, and they did their best to instill a love of the study into her. She can get worked up by anyone badmouthing police (of which her father is a part of) or lawyers (which her mother is affiliated with). Sarah has a stubbornness that is the best feature of most detectives, a dogged determination to seek out the solution to a case to the end. If she is doing anything related to her work, it's almost impossible to derail her from the task at hand. Another good trait of hers is her ability to keep calm. No matter what happens, whatever the answers or whoever she's up against, Sarah keeps a level head and a clear mind. Its hard to get her worked up over anything.
Despite her good traits, she is a normal mortal. In that she has her glaring faults as well. Her focus gives her tunnel-vision, and it there's anything important going on not related to a case, she tends to ignore it. Her youth also gets the best of her, and she doesn't always solve every case. As a consequence, Sarah can get quite upset when she's wrong. As she does more cases she gets better, but there's always a chance she'll be led astray. And despite both her parents' attachment to the right side of the law, the new private eye has a tendency to bend any rules around to get what she needs to solve a case. Trespassing, assault, theft...it doesn't matter as long as her ends are met. Of course, she'd never let her parents know of her actions...and Bogart is loyal enough not to rat her out. Despite her pride in the ability to keep a level head, there is one topic which can cause her to erupt. If anyone bad mouths the law, or anything related, she is liable to instigate a confrontation. Her passion for justice is a two-edged blade that turns on her more often then not, and it isn't rare for Sarah to sport bruises from altercations she caused. She can also get rather physical with anyone she sees as a criminal, so her culprits are often on the receiving end of her fists whether they're of a violent persuasion or not.
BACKGROUND:
History:
The Next year, her parents trumped the gift of the book by giving Sarah her first Pokemon. The Zangoose was immediately dubbed Bogart after the star in one of her favorite detective movies, and therafter the two were inseperable. Being the tomboy that she was, she would also wrangle the Pokemon into play-wrestling, where he often came out on top. In order to even the odds, and because she wanted to be able to catch criminals when she was older, Sarah pursuaded her parents to enroll her into a martial arts class. Through some pursuading and puppy-dog eyes, she was able to attend Judo lessons.
As she grew older, and as her interest in detective work grew, so did her interest in aspects of learning. Taking a cue from Sherlocke Holmes, Sarah worked on filling her head with various trivia that could potentially become useful in deductions. Almost the same time she was doing this came the revelation that she wasn't a mere human. When the Glass family was out one evening, Sarah inadvertently touched a pamplet that had fallen to the ground. Upon coming in contact with her skin, she was greeted by ghostly images of people running around her, including the woman who the pamplet had belonged to. She was treated to the sight of the paper falling out of the woman's purse as she went inside the restarant, and was shocked by what she had seen. In order to test if it was a hallucination or not, Sarah picked up the pamplet when they went in and offered it to a woman that looked similar to the one in her 'vision.' Once again she was surprised when they were one and the same, and the girl found out that she was a mutant with a decidedly useful ability. She carefully began to teach herself how to use it, eventually getting to where it came on command rather then at random.
When she was old enough, Richard began teaching her how to fire a gun. He was supportive of her goals, and convicned it was a skill she would need. Sarah slowly grew in marksmanship, and was even gifted with a Colt .45 on her sixteenth birthday for her to practise herself.
After she graduated school, both her parents pushed her towards following in her footsteps. Richard wanted her to enroll in the Police Academy and become an Officer just like him. Anne, however, wanted her to go to Law School and eventually become a Lawyer. Both paths would have been accepted, but Sarah wanted neither. She took money she had saved from summer jobs and managed to rent a small apartment of her own. Where, she announced to her family, she would be opening her own detective agency.
And so it was that Bogart&Glass Investigations was opened, and Sarah became a private detective. It was a rough, and almost uneventful first year, but eventually word passed around about the somewhat successful detectives. Slowly they were gaining notoriety, and with it came more cases. Still, not as much as Sarah would like, but at least they're getting somewhere. [/ul][/font]
Pokemon:
Name:Bogart
Species: Zangoose
Level: 32
Gender: Male
Ability: Immunity
Personality: Bogart does a decent impression of hard-boiled detective. When people enter their agency, it is both his bearing and the fact his name is first on their door that they think he is the master detective. Of course, that's fairly far from the truth. Bogart is comfortable in the position of assistant, and isn't happier then when he's helping Sarah with clues or apprehending suspects. Normally he's very easy going, but active investigations make him as exited as his partner, and a good chace can get his blood pumping quite easily. He's also, surprisingly, a stickler for training regimens and making sure paperwork is filled out. Bogart can be more practical then Sarah can ever be, but that doesn't stop him from being a stalwart friend and fast companion.

- Pursuit
Species: Duskull

Personality: A recent recruit into Sarah's detective work, Holmes is no less earnest in assisting with the detective work. He's fascinated by the logic leading up to the case, and the puzzle that ultimately reveals the solution to a problem that is at first impossible to answer. With his ghostly nature, his insight and his perspective has become valuable to Sarah and Bogart in their casework, while he is proud to solve difficult problems with noting but his mind. His favorite hobby is to read case files and detective novels and to try to solve the cases himself without any help.
