Wow.
This week has been a rank piece of crud, hasn't it? Certain things have come out, and some doors were opened that we wish we could close again, and pretend that we never saw. And now, people who we once saw as decent have trampled and betrayed that trust without so much as a backwards glance.
So I come here to make this post, just to say...
I love Remoor. It hasn't been the most consistent ride for me, but I've met some really good roleplayers and friends here, and I wouldn't trade the experience for the world. I've met Kiane, a crazy but amazing guy; Fae, one of the most kind and patient people you'll ever meet, and Iro, who liked crazy plots as much as I did.
It was enough for me to start bringing my own circle in - Observer, Silvac, and Sinn - and each have had their own generally positive experiences on this site. I've had fun threads with all of them, and honestly look to the future.
I guess what I want to say is this:
Fae, don't let a bunch of petty thieves get in the way of this amazing story. I know its hard, but we still like what we have going here.
Yours truly,
The Science Freak TSF Nol

"Wow" is about right.
A word about Feather. She's been great to talk to and she's put a lot of work into Remoor. I enjoyed what interaction with her I did have, and I wish we could have talked more. What I don't understand is the reaction of certain people to recent developments when Feather actually recommended the site. If the admin herself has given the site the go-ahead, and more importantly hasn't come into the chatbox and started spamming or making passive-aggressive threads about it in the forums, what makes you (and certain others) think that kind of behaviour is appropriate or warranted?
Nol, you're playing up the situation to a degree that's frankly ridiculous. The language and imagery you used was deliberately loaded and inflammatory, even beyond being just plain false.
The two sites have a few species in common. That's it. Remoor was not been the first Pokemon site to use those ideas and it won't be the last. The inclusion of morphs and mutants in the site canon isn't stealing from Feather any more than books with say, elves and dwarves are direct copies of every other book with elves and dwarves in them. The overarching plots and setting are completely divorced from this site, which I think you're actually well aware of, even if you choose not to acknowledge it. If people really were stealing content, I also assume that Feather would have reported the site on her own, which she doesn't seem to have done at all.
This is supposed to be a support thread, of course, even if I doubt that was its only purpose. I'll just say that I wasn't with the site very long and I didn't end up doing much here in the end, but I could see from the start how much work went into it, from Feather and the rest of the staff, and the members who were site veterans way before I ever appeared. I appreciated the place for what it was. I met some cool people and I hope most of them will stay with me for a long time. I actually had the intention of staying in the community and playing on both sites, but after the events of the last few days, I'm just done. It's a shame it had to go down like it did.
So with that said and done, I'd like to wish Feather and Remoor the absolute best of luck for the future, in all things. I hope they move onto bigger and better things. I'm sure that they'll both do well. It's just the bitter, unnecessary actions of a handful of members that soured the experience for me.

Sigh. Since you asked: "Wow" is about right.
A word about Feather. She's been great to talk to and she's put a lot of work into Remoor. I enjoyed what interaction with her I did have, and I wish we could have talked more. What I don't understand is the reaction of certain people to recent developments when Feather actually recommended the site. You lose credibility right here because Fae has been upset over the last two-three days about your site. That does not seem like anyone who can say that they did this with full knowledge of the admin at hand.
I wish I was playing it up. Fae was making an amazing site update and wanted all of your help, but you said you were too busy to do it, and never revealed why.
The two sites have a few species in common. That's it. If I dig I bet I can find word-for-word copies; I know it wasn't scrubbed that well. Remoor was not been the first Pokemon site to use those ideas and it won't be the last. It was the first to use curseds and blesseds though, which you stole word for word. The inclusion of morphs and mutants in the site canon isn't stealing from Feather any more than books with say, elves and dwarves are direct copies of every other book with elves and dwarves in them. The ideas don't have to be original; the words and formatting do. The overarching plots and setting are completely divorced from this site, which I think you're actually well aware of, even if you choose not to acknowledge it. If people really were stealing content, I also assume that Feather would have reported the site on her own, which she doesn't seem to have done at all. No, she perfectly well knows she can get your site shut down at any time. You're vastly underestimating how kind Fae is being here, to people who honestly don't deserve it.

If you had a problem you should have spoken up to the community and say that we had a problem. Was it with the constant swearing in the chatbox by a group of new members? Gee... what should have happened to them, I wonder? Thanks for turning what was supposed to be a picker-upper thread into a nest of lies trying to implicate me. Everyone left on Remoor knows what happened, so bite me.

You lose credibility right here because Fae has been upset over the last two-three days about your site. That does not seem like anyone who can say that they did this with full knowledge of the admin at hand. Yes, she was initially upset. She later spoke with Aly and the others and wished them luck with the site. The two statements don't contradict one another, so I don't see how I've "lost credibility" at all.
I wish I was playing it up. Fae was making an amazing site update and wanted all of your help, but you said you were too busy to do it, and never revealed why. You actually are. She never asked me for help; I'm assuming you're talking about the mods. You know, aside from site matters, people were also genuinely busy the last few months with exams, family matters and a host of other stuff that doesn't even involve the internet. Was everyone supposed to drop everything else they were doing for that? Even if no-one said they were working on it to Feather, why's that such a heinous offence? Does every roleplayer need to give everyone else they roleplay with a full log of every site they work on or that they're part of? You really are playing this up and taking it way further than it needs to go.
The two sites have a few species in common. That's it. If I dig I bet I can find word-for-word copies; I know it wasn't scrubbed that well. That's nice. Remoor was not been the first Pokemon site to use those ideas and it won't be the last. It was the first to use curseds and blesseds though, which you stole word for word. No, actually not the first site to use that concept either. The inclusion of morphs and mutants in the site canon isn't stealing from Feather any more than books with say, elves and dwarves are direct copies of every other book with elves and dwarves in them. The ideas don't have to be original; the words and formatting do. The words were, but what are you talking about formatting for? There are only so many ways you can do that and still have it be simple and legible. I wasn't aware you could copyright [*list] and the concept of an FAQ. I don't believe that would work, because there's no actual theft going on, but she could attempt it if she really wanted to. That's the point I'm trying to make. I know Feather is a patient person, but I feel like she would have addressed something like this, given that she's dealt with members who stole profiles and such in the past.
I actually had the intention of staying in the community and playing on both sites, but after the events of the last few days, I'm just done. It's a shame it had to go down like it did.Don't play the sop story. This is YOUR FAULT THAT IT HAPPENED and I'm not going to pity you for it. I'm just straight up telling you what my experience was. I genuinely had fun on the site for the time I was here, and would have stuck around if people hadn't made it a shit storm. No sob story, no spin. I don't need any pity, and I frankly don't want it, especially not from you. I'm not upset. I'm not even mad any more. So once I've finished this post I'm just going to put this down and walk away. I won't be checking back. Have fun.
So with that said and done, I'd like to wish the admin and the site the absolute best of luck for the future, in all things. I hope they move onto bigger and better things. I'm sure that they'll both do well. It's just the bitter, unnecessary actions of a handful of members that soured the experience for me. What's with that last sentence? If you had a problem you should have spoken up to the community and say that we had a problem. It wasn't a problem with the community. I had no complaints about the community. The "unnecessary actions" I'm referring to is yours and Dev's behaviour last night. I had no issues at all up until you chose to start this argument and pursue it after Feather put it to bed. Was it with the constant swearing in the chatbox by a group of new members? Gee... what should have happened to them, I wonder? No. Thanks for turning what was supposed to be a picker-upper thread into a nest of lies trying to implicate me. Everyone left on Remoor knows what happened, so bite me. Except none of it was lies, and I'm not "trying to implicate you" in anything. Implicating implies you did nothing, and did you or did you not come onto the site last night and antagonise everyone? Everyone left on Remoor can draw their own conclusions, and I'm fine with that, but you're making this into more than it has to be.

I may report the site depending on what I find. I needed time to calm down before I went into this mess.
To be honest, I feel betrayed and a bit violated; I worked things out on my own however. I do not wish for anymore drama to happen and therefore am trying to leave it at that. I only recommended the site so people who really want to RP with these concepts have somewhere to go in the interim. I am not an administrator who would ever close my site, ban those who truly enjoy it, and prevent others from having fun for my feelings. That does not mean I enjoy the idea of what happened, what is going on elsewhere, etc.
I also do not like Remoor's name being sullied with little petty things though.
I wish all the members at Illuminated the best. This situation has caused me so much heartache. Some cruel things have been said. I am done with this for now. Remoor will be back, I promise. I am also not allowing any of this drama to happen again or continue.
For now, darlings, no more debating. Do not bother anyone on Illuminated, report them, or spam their cbox; those are not actions I respect nor approve of. Thank you.
But, allow sleeping dogs to lie. We were all friends once and I do not want my last memories of some to be animosity and hurtful words. That has happened twice in the past week. I do not want it to happen again.
We'll be drama-free, as we can be, from now on. I have learned allowing this sort of thing to fester will not help. Simply put: enough.
If you guys need to talk or rant, come to my Skype. : >
But here are some things that I do not tolerate: - Taking my writing - Copying writing that does not belong to me but my members So, if there is anything CPed, it is being taken down or I will be quite irate and Proboards notified.
