This was something that was a little odd to this woman. Being in a place that was calm like this, though she had nothing to complain about because she was actually enjoying this. She would usually just be in places that were more busy to try to get more information, work, or just to have a drink or two. But this place...This place was relaxing. Perhaps she would remember it for later, she would remember this place so that she would have a place to come to to reflect on things, to be able to think and plan. Though right now there was nothing TO plan. She had no job that she needed to do, however the blade was still with her, as it would always be, and then she reached to her back for a moment to make sure her firearm was there too. It might seem odd for a woman such as herself being so armed, but it came with what she was, it came from what she had seen through out the years, and with what she had done to deal with it all. Perhaps...Perhaps her choices were incorrect on how she chose to handle things, but she wasn't about to admit such things out loud anytime soon.
Then again there were only a very few people that would get her to even question what she's been doing for so long. It pays well, and while it was dangerous she made sure to be as careful as she could be. After all it was because of the money she had gotten over the years that she was even in this place, and of course a place like this would more than likely have plenty of work for someone in her line of work. Though she had to wonder just what that would lead to in the end. If she weren't careful she could get caught up in the middle of something that she did not want to be anywhere near. She'd heard the whispers for the Pravus and Anti-Pravus things, all the other little factions and gangs that were between all of that. It seemed that for lack of better words, this place was crawling with plenty of prospective clients and the like for her to get to. She would just need to find them. And therein would be the issue. It wasn't as if she was going to announce herself and advertise who or what she was, that would cause more trouble than help.
Slowly she walked closed to the edge of the lake and slowly sat down. once she had she looked down at the tattoo that was on her left arm. The look on her face was akin to a deep scowl because of the trouble that the people that put it on her had caused, not to mention all the trouble they had caused all the people they attacked. It was almost maddening to think about even though it happened so long ago. And it was rather amusing that in the other places she had gone, the rumors about her always had something to do with this tattoo, always. If only those people that started those rumors or that had seen the tattoo knew what it meant and the scars that it carried. But they could never know, they would never know because she would never explain it to. At least not to complete strangers, not to random people that she couldn't trust. She really didn't feel like getting stabbed in the back by anyone again. It always left such a bad taste and it just didn't really pan out well for anyone that was involved with it.
Then her focus went to the golden armlet that was on her upper right arm. She would then slowly reach up and touch the trinket. Of course that's what it would seem like to everyone else, just a small little thing that she wore, but it had such a deep meaning to her. So deep in fact that she would deep her hand from it and then look at the surface of the water, that soft voice that she had would then escape her lips, dancing among the stillness in the air around her. "And what would you think of my choices...The fact I failed you...It still haunts me from time to time. I should have been able to protect you better...That's probably why I do what I do now...But even then it isn't the best work choice, but its all I know for now...I'm sorry for failing you. I...promise that the next person that can get close to me will be safe...I won't fail them. I learned...That lesson in a rather painful way." She'd then touch the armlet again and close her eyes. There wasn't much else for her to say on that, and she knew that the one that gave her the trinket couldn't hear her, but it made her feel better to say it out loud like that.
And there she sat at the edge of the water, or rather well enough away from the edge to give herself plenty of space as to not get wet or anything, the blade beside her on the ground and now her arms were on her knees and her head was resting on her arms, eyes still closed. It seemed as if she were resting right there like that, but she was still listening to her surroundings, yet another thing her work caused. As she was sitting there she heard someone or something walking around the nearby area, and this caused her to slowly open her eyes and lift her head to take a look around. She knew that a place like this would more than likely attract more than a few people and really that was just fine, so long as it wasn't someone from the places she had been before that had caught up to her or anything, because she really didn't want to stain this place with blood if she could help it. But there was a...Familiar feeling in the air at the time.
"But why would one of them be here right now? No, its probably just my feelings and things getting to me. ...I have been on my own for quite a while now, so it would not surprise me if it were my mind and heart playing tricks on me. Besides, I'm sure they have things that are keeping them busy as well. I...Haven't even really thought about what I would say to them when I see them again. Mm, no matter whoever's around will either keep walking on or try and stop for a little talk...Perhaps that wouldn't be so bad." She then shook her head a bit and laughed ever so softly, looking back to the surface of the water, she only just now realized that she did miss her siblings, maybe if they had been around before she wouldn't have ended up like this, but it was her fault for not going to them. She would like to see at least one of them again. If only she knew that she was going to get that wish fulfilled much much sooner than she had thought....
