It's so beautiful out.. The thought felt alien but pure in Al's mind. Had the sun ever been so bright? It was almost blinding, but it wasn't obnoxiously hot. Perhaps it was surprising to anyone. It had been colder in earlier weeks, though Al was more for the indoors with stale climates. If he ever was outdoors for a long period of time he surely had...business. The park's bench sat just at the foot of a hill facing the lawyer's right side with a single tree to the right of the bench. Upon that bench was the blond haired man, wearing a featherweight black hoodie above a plain yellow shirt paired with red jeans and black tennis shoes. Beside him was a well groomed Meowstic. Devia sat beside him, casually eating an Oran Berry in the same fashion a human would eat an apple. Nothing but fresh cut grass and more randomly planted trees of varying sizes and foliage.
Opposite the duo were some of Al's Pokemon playing in the distance. Hip Hop the Lopunny was sparring lightly with the always battle ready Lee. Allec could hear the recurring groans and complaints Hip Hop would give to Lee when he went too far. "Those two need a safety word" the lawyer chuckled at Devia's remark. Amper flew above the duo, exercising his wings but staying out of the fight. He couldn't be bothered on such a great day. Meanwhile it was Storm and Endo sitting under a tree. The Manectric wanted to just relax for a while but the rather crude Gengar had something else in mind...sex jokes. "Okay what's the difference between Peanut Butter and Jam." he began with a sinisted grin. "Oh my god don't even..." she sighed.
A cloud made its way over the sun, darkening most of the park a bit. As the sun hid, Allec couldn't help but feel his paranoia rise. He couldn't put his finger on why this was, but the people walking by, watching his Pokemon, noticing him, the distant chatter....It was unnerving. He felt exposed. "I think I hate it out here." he told Devia who only looked up at him. She had nothing to say. She knew why he felt nervous and she hardly approved. They were as close as friends could be...as family could be. Al's eyes glanced around but everything seemed normal. It didn't stop him from looking things over three or five more times. His breathing quickened and his brow lowered. I need to get out of this... he thought...And he wasn't referring to the park. For too long he had been involved with a very dangerous game that wouldn't be easy...if even possible to get out of.
the sun shined again. The cloud was gone in less than a minute, but he could hardly enjoy the feeling of it's warmth on him any more. His breathing normalized and the look on his face wasn't nearly as tense...but he felt it- that knot in his stomach. It was half anxiety and half determination. More days like this one would come. For his sake, he would enjoy them one day.
