What a remarkably quiet Pokemon. Normally Rau was surrounded by the loudest crowds and most musical persons that Remoor's nightlife had to offer. Unless he was home with Pau of course; the silly Venusaur was the calmest and quietest soul he knew. Rayna could be a close second if she kept this attitude up. Sneakily and calmly the fox and his canine friend moved through the surprisingly empty slums until Rau stopped on one street in particular, glancing up at the number of the worn out building. Once it had been a small hotel, most likely used for the travelers who stopped in without the money for a better place, with two stories of ten rooms and a small restaurant area in the back. The old red brick was stained with graffiti and time and many of the doors had been replaced, though some were still little more than a cardboard block to the elements. It had became something of a make-shift apartment complex for those still not as fortunate.
Rau glanced at Rayna with a smile before moving to one of the rooms on the ground-floor, stopping at room #104. "Here we are, honey. You can drop the eyes now," Rau cheerfully spoke as he shook his hand, dispelling the fire that was inside of it, before reaching for the knob and turning it open. Once opened the cold air tried to rush into the moderately-lit, warmer room, but he ushered Rayna in quickly before too much of the winter managed to get inside.
The rooms weren't much better than the exterior, but they were cleaner, at least. A single cot, one that might have been used as a 'spare bed' in this building's hotel days, was against the wall as far from the door as possible. Two lamps, both bolted to the worn-out rug, lit the room with a yellowish glow. A mini-fridge, a couch, and a cheap painting of some scenic view took up random spots along the walls, giving space to the largest item inside the room: Pau, the Venusaur, was sitting right in the center of the room looking somber as he usually did, though his eyes were closed and breathing steady.
Was he asleep? Rau chuckled and nuzzled his nose against the large, green-blue lizard's forehead. "Dummy, I told you to wait up for me...sorry I took so long," he whispered to the sleeping grass-type before his attention returned to Rayna, paws working to unravel the scarf from his shoulders--revealing the everstone beneath--which he then slung over the arm of the couch, "We have some bottle of water and food in the fridge, so you can have anything you'd like. Except for the coffee," Rau crossed his arms, "That's mine. I've gotta wash today's drunkards out of my fur, so I'll be right back. Make yourself at home, sweetheart." With that the fox plucked a white towel off of the doorknob to the bathroom in the back corner of the little apartment before slipping away into the white-tiled room.
Pau was awake and watching before the door clicked closed.

Rayna stayed close to Rau as they walked through the slums and kept her eyes and ears open for anything that may come their way. But seemed like everything was fine as she heard no people coming their way. And with her aura sight even of someone where to try to sneak up on them she would be able to see them. Though soon they came to Rau's house and Rayna relaxed a little and followed him inside. It was warmer then it was outside but it was not that much to look at. But better then nothing she guessed. When she walked farther into the house Rayna came to a sudden stop when she saw a huge pokemon in the living room. She blinked a few times in shock as she saw it was a Venusaur who appeared to sleeping. Rayna said nothing as she put her eyes back on Rau and watched him as he spoke and saying she could have anything she wanted in the mini-fridge. Just not the coffee it seemed. Rayan gave a little smile and shook her head, "I don't like coffee anyway.." She said and nodded when Rau said he was going to take a shower. Rayna then went over to the mini-fridge and looked inside. She then took a bottle of water opened it and took a few gulps. She then closed the mini-fridge and looked over at Pau who was now awake." Umm.. Hello." was all she could think of to say to the huge grass type pokemon.

Pau, for a moment, remained still as the little canine-like Pokemon stepped about the apartment. While not exactly what he'd expected to wake up to, it was not the first time that his partner had brought strange figures into their home. It probably wouldn't be the last time either. Still, he couldn't fault Rau for being more sympathetic than he pretended not to be. Everybody had their kindness-to-a-fault, it just so happened that his was buried under several layers of his other faults. "Hello, miss," was his quiet, gentle, response, "It is nice to meet you. I am Pau...Rau's partner." A long, thick vine slipped out from under one of the large, fanned leafs atop of Pau's back and moved to hover at arms length of the Riolu, much like one's hand would be when offering it to be shaken.
"What is your name?"
Inside the bathroom, Rau grumbled something to himself as he turned the shower's water to as hot as it could possibly get. The steam trickled over the top of the curtain and fogged up the dinky, chipped mirror that hung haphazardly over a sink that had been polished to almost-clean by his own two paws. Hesitantly he removed the silver chain from his neck with one paw, the other carefully cupping the everstone as it was freed from his neck, and placed it on the counter. He paused for a moment more, staring at the stone, before shaking his head and hoping into the delightfully scalding water. He had a lot to do before that happened.
The sound of running water could be heard clearly in the main/only room of the small apartment, as well as a little excess steam could be seen coming from the bottom of the door. Pau simply smiled, his wide mouth curling his entire face upwards just a bit as he did so. "I have not seen you in this part of town before. Did he find you outside of the Ludicolo? It has been some time since he invited a lone Pokemon to stay with us for a while..." he chuckled, and it was a very deep sound, "Ah...but do not let his bark bother you, my friend. He is much gentler than he lets on. It just takes a moment to see it." Sometimes a long moment, but a moment nonetheless.
