The trees of Isabella Plains rose up proudly about the plain. Life could be seen from all angles of the woodland, from beast to plant. There appeared to be some form of boundary within the forest where the infected beasts kept to their side, and the beasts of sound mind and body roamed the other. It had been the doing of the god of plant life to protect the few that were still healthy within the forest. If he had not stepped in to do his rightful duty, the few innocent creatures protected by his paws and jaws may have succumbed to the infection.
A white lion like feline moved through the trees, his leaf fan of a tail dragging in the grass behind him. A smile would be given to a family of Sawsbuck and Stantler who were grazing on a safe patch of grass. Unlike many of his cousins, Gaillardia believed that living like a feral animal was much better than being in the world of the humans where they did not fully understand the things a god did. He enjoyed purring in public, apparently humans did not know how to do that and deemed it as strange.
They were just jealous that he was capable of such a remarkable feat. "I wonder where La.." Before he could voice the name of his dragon companion, the feline stopped, his eyes narrowing as he raised his sensitive snout. Ears filled with tendrils of fresh green leaves flicked as he heard a sound that made his heart beat against his chest.
He had smelled that acrid scent before and it was one of the only things he feared besides the painful feeling of poison seeping into one's veins. "Fire" The cat growled before scenting the horrid scent again. The cat hissed a unintelligible remark the family of deer Pokemon before bounding away towards the scent of flames. The first thing that came to his mind was that his brother, Pyring, was setting his forests aflame again just for the pure thrill of giving him a heart attack. If I get my claws on Pyring.. The feline thought but as the smell of fire began to burn his nostrils, he soon realized that it wasn't his brother at all.
Gaillardia skidded to a stop, his fur raising up along his spine as he spotted the strange looking human.
"Who are you?"
The feline questioned the firebug all the while watching the flames warily.
"Are you out of your mind?!"

In all honesty, Michiko didn't quite know what she was doing in the forest. The forest was quiet at least, a far cry from the city where she had been spending the majority of her time trying to get some information about where her family was. That was easier said than done however considering the sheer amount of emotions that made it hard to concentrate on even the most simple task. Sure there were Pokemon here, but Michi admittedly felt more comfortable around Pokemon than humans or even others like her. They had been the ones that had hurt her in the past after all and the Ponyta Pokemorph was more than a little apprehensive about approaching anyone for help after what she'd gone through. "See, Sora? It's not that bad,"Michi commented as she looked around at the beautiful trees around her. The Starly hadn't wanted to stray far from the city considering it was dangerous with all the infected Pokemon around. Thus far however, the forest had been quiet and it was refreshing to see Michi relaxed and calm for the first time in a while. All that changed in a matter of seconds however when a twig snapped, revealing an infected Pokemon with his eyes set on the small Ponyta Pokemorph and her Starly companion. As the beast crouched down to attack, Michi screamed and ran as far and as fast as she could. Sora had been right after all...the forest wasn't safe...if only she had listened.... The Ponyta Pokemorph hadn't gone far however before the beast suddenly stopped as if it had hit an invisible barrier. Michi however was oblivious to this as she continued to run, terrified until she finally collapsed at the base of the tree only to find a new terror awaited her: the forest was burning. In her fear, instinct had stepped in had set the forest on fire out of a survival instinct. "No..."Michi breathed out, eyes wide as she gazed in horror at the trail of destruction she had left in her wake. No sooner had Michi realized just what she had done when a cat-like Pokemon appeared and demanded who she was before immediately asking if she was out of her mind. Red eyes grew at the sight of the feline and once again Michi's hair flickered into flames. A small gasp escaped the Ponyta Pokemorph when she felt the heat from the flames and stood up as quickly as she could and willed herself to calm down. This was all her fault...why had she come here...this was a disaster... "I-...I'm sorry..."Michi whimpered as tears threatened to choke off her voice, "I was scared...I-...I didn't mean to...."she continued, in an attempt to explain what had happened. "I-...Michiko...that's me...I-...I'm sorry...I didn't..."Michi continued before tears choked off her voice completely. Shortly thereafter, Sora stepped in to explain, "It was an accident, Michiko can't control her flame when she's frightened. We ran across an infected Pokemon before we reached this part of the woods. Please, it wasn't her fault..."the Starly explained, hoping that this would appease Gaillardia.

This was one of the main reasons you didn't see fire types in forests, they set everything on fire by just so much as breathing on something! Fire type creatures belonged in the mountains, volcanoes and deserts away from places that could give Gaillardia a heart attack. Green eyes widened as the fire tore through the forest eating away at the wood of the trees, the brush, everything that happened to be in it's hungry path.
Gaillardia snarled at the morph's hair caught fire again, she was a walking disaster! The tom, although a god, was terrified of fire. He had had a bad experience with a forest fire once and he did not want to be a part of such a horrific memory again. Yet, creatures like Michiko had to waltz in..ready to see the world set to flames.
What was he to do? "Of all things, she shouldn't come to a forest!" Wasn't this Michiko some form of a human being? Why wasn't she with the rest of her kind within Nada Citadel? The cat hissed in pain as a spark of flames hit his tail, eating away at the delicate foliage. It would heal eventually, but still.
The white cat looked around as the once peaceful forest filled with greenery became a living hell filled with bright orange flames and the smell of acrid smoke burned his nostrils. His eyes narrowed as he looked at the small bird that accompanied the younger human. "We can't stay here." The god spoke quickly as he winced as he could hear a tree weakening before finally falling towards the ground a couple of lengths behind the trio.
Arsonist or not, Gaillardia refused to leave the human, (seemingly a child) and her avian companion behind in the flames. "Come now, we must leave." He repeated more firmly as he stepped forward, his eyes glancing nervously at his tail there was no way in Arceus his leafy tail would stay intact in the midst of the hot flames. Even now, he could taste the smoke in his throat. "We can discuss this issue later." The feline added, would the morph hop onto his back for a free pass through the flaming, dying forest or would she allow herself to stand in the midst of the danger?

Michiko flinched away when Gaillardia yelled at her, saying that she shouldn't have been in the forest. She felt horrible, all this destruction...was because of her...it wasn't her fault though. Michi had never meant to burn the forest, it was something she couldn't control when she was frightened. If it hadn't been for the strange barrier they had come across, the infected Pokemon might have hurt her...or worse... Gaillardia was mad, and rightly so, the raging inferno around them was all her fault and she couldn't do anything to stop it... If she tried, there was a chance that she would only make it worse and the last thing the Ponyta Pokemorph wanted was to cause even more destruction. "I'm sorry..."Michi whimpered, wishing that there was something she could do to stop the raging inferno. As Sora talked to the grass feline, Michi wished that she had never come to the forest to begin with. Sure it was one of her favorite places to go but then the infected had chased after her, and frightened her... The sight of the burning trees was devastating to her, Michi loved the forest and nature and yet her Ponyta nature had caused this devastation. Gaillardia's next words brought Michi back to the present as she nodded before a tree fell nearby causing Michi to jump, startled. She hadn't wanted any of this to happen... why had she come...if only she listened to Sora in the first place... Tears streamed down Michi's face even as Gaillardia stepped forward, urging that they leave once again. They had to leave now or they would all be in danger. Nodding slightly, Michi climbed onto the feline's back, trusting him to get them to safety. The heat of the fire wasn't hurting the Ponyta Pokemorph right now but even she couldn't survive a forest fire. Besides that, combined with the smoke and the tears that just wouldn't stop, Michi couldn't see what was in front of her. All she could do was trust the grass feline to get out of them and hope that she could explain later.
