It was a peaceful morning when Khepri decided to go to the lake, hoping to put aside the depressing thoughts that threatened to overwhelm her. The lake was beautiful, just like always and the Eevee pokemorph couldn't help but remember the many times she and Nakhti had come here, often to escape reality, even for just a moment. Such memories were bittersweet however and only made Khepri's heart ache all the more, they only reminded her of why she had come to the lake in the first place: to forget. But then.... how was she going to forget all the moments she had with him... there were so many and yet.... this was for the best... it had to be this way... right....
As she walked along the shore, Khepri wondered how easy it would be to sink beneath the surface of the water and never resurface. It would be a way to ease the pain, to stop the heartache. No... she could never do that... even if with all of the pain, Khepri knew she was too much of a coward to do such a thing. She was pathetic....a pariah that could never have a happy ending, that much was clear. Yet, she was foolish enough to hope for the impossible, a dream that could never come true.... it was truly pathetic... What could a weakling like her ever amount to... perhaps it really would be netter if she ceased to exist, then she wouldn't have to hurt any more.
Approaching the water, Khepri let the water lap over her feet, enjoying the cool, refreshing feeling. Kneeling down, the Eevee pokemorph sat in the sand and gazed out at the calm lake. How was it that even when her heart was aching in turmoil the world was still so peaceful? Sighing quietly, Khepri pulled her knees to her chest and laid her forehead on her knees. There was no use in trying anymore, that much was clear... her life meant now more than a speck of dust. Maybe it would be best if she just remained here and let life pass her by... it would be so easy to simply allow herself to fade away. There was no point in continuing anyway....she was a blight...nothing more, nothing less...
