the scourge of the desert,
Tick... Tick... Tick
Two pokemon stood guard in the sole entrance of a parking lot; they had been there for quite some time and would not be there for too much longer if their relief was timely. The larger out of the two a machoke grumbled about the hours while the smaller being a medicham berated him for wishing that their shifts were shorter. They passed the time normally by watching movies that would crop up time to time in the run down cinema across the street but as of late the place had been closing earlier and earlier leaving the two to find that they did not enjoy one another's company too much. They were in the midst of arguing about which one was going to leave when a scraping sound brought their attention to the east [mostly there was run down housing over there too..]; they had just gotten a new guard the following night as their manager had told them. Though "new" was an understatment was what he had said; neither of them were informed of what species he was but they both knew that the human that ussually ran the night shift would not be happy. The machoke blinked as he was the first to notice who exactly it was; a marowak of... A rather large size for the breed. The machoke found himself looking up at the one eyed' visage of a very pissed off looking marowak.
looking up
The creature was almost if not twice the size of normal marowak's and the fighting pokemon growled a little bit until the creature waved a slip at both of them. It was the slip that the night shift gave their offgoing shift to let them know that they were indeed offgoing. The machoke took the slip and eyed the reliefs name before speaking; he wasn't very sure why they'd hire a pokemon like this specially during the night shift which wasn't as bad as "busy" hour near the end of the working day.
Well we had it... You got it?
Gary's sick. I'm filling.
Let's not question the guy Jack, he's here and now we can leave.
Here's the list
Night.
Night...
Night.
With the two fighting types heading off towards the housing district hector felt his lips curl in an irritated frown; the only reason why he was able to get this shift is because that gary [he forgot his last name...] in which was both the longest and most boring shift. The marowak glared back and forth as some of the undesirables noticed the change in shift; he had been told it was problematic lately though since gary didn't have his four normal pokemon due to some health issue or something. The marowak didn't care he just took the shift in grim silence. When people noticed his size they'd realize he was in a different league than they initially anticipated... and would promptly leave. Three biker looking fellows passed by; one of them glaring in anger at the guard. Or at least trying to glare; he looked like he was constipated. The marowak returned the glare with a steely look that made the man shudder. The empty eye socket that the marowak had made him seem that much... menacing. A few people with slips came and went without much trouble too. It wasn't until he head to deal with a few drunks that it got interesting.
Drunks with bloody slips too.
The marowak had to deal with drunks often but never the sort that actually were allowed into places like this. It was his job to keep both customers and their cars safe. Drinking and driving was NOT safe so he simply and promptly did not allow the few in and asked if they'd like him to call a cab. Two did, the third however did not and tried to argue his case. The marowak didn't even have to speak; his glare was pretty much the words of "try me" in themselves. The third thankfully didn't press the issue while the guard marowak called for a cab for the three customers. With the first hour steadily closing the marowak was able to open up a book that he had hanging off of one of his tail spikes. He had the book's leash tied to the very first spike on his tail; the closest one to his body. The book was a simple one; gardening for beginners He cracked it open making sure to check about before doing so....
The marowak had to have a bloody pass time outside of the few jobs he had from time to time. IF he didn't he'd be forced to think about her.....
