Even with gloomy skies, the District of Fun was still bright and bustling, just as Xavier expected it to be. With the current state of affairs outside of the city walls being total destruction and mayhem, many people flocked to the casinos and distractions the district had to offer - and many lost their life savings here. Xavier had seen it all during his residency as a human, and somehow had become rather popular with the locals.
It was about time to introduce them to his friend.
"Well then, sunshine," Xavier grinned over at his green-haired companion for the evening, arm still clamped around his waist as to prevent any urges for the other to run away. He had already tried and failed miserably. "This is the District of Fun. That there is the casino." Xavier pointed with his free hand, the casino's pillars eerily illuminated by the surrounding light fixtures. "Thats where humans bet money against one another in games. The winner takes the cash, the loser goes broke. Its a gamble but if ya play yer cards right, you can make some real cash." He then snickered and winked. "Being psychic really comes in handy there."
"Over there," Xavier turned and gestured across the way, "are yer bars and clubs. Have you even tasted alcohol before?" Xavier leered at Gail and sniffed tentatively before shaking his head. "I doubt it. But the clubs can be pretty fun, especially if ya wanna bust a move or two. Dance." he quickly corrected himself, remembering that Gail probably didn't quite understand the lingo. "We ought to try there."
"Ooor..." He cast a ruby eye onto a nearby building. "There's the Lesterfield's Lounge. Pretty chill, very relaxed, reminds me of a library. Its ah... pretty quaint, and fairly popular for people going... together." He finished awkwardly with a shrug. "I think we'd fit in."
"Anywhere strike yer fancy? We can always just hang here too." Xavier finished with a contented sigh, looking over to Lavender. "Plenty of folks to meet anywhere we go really."

"What do you mean I'm going to lose all my money?!" A voice shouted near by, the man in a fancy red suit and a cigar was eying Maloo viciously. "I have unstoppable luck and haven't lost one bet yet! You're nothing but a con artist wench!" The shouting caused a few people to stare that them.
Maloo ducked her head a bit in embarrassment. "Sir... I told you what I saw and if you are wise you would not gamble today. I'm only reading what you requested." She responded softly. Normally she wouldn't be angry but this was one of those moments she wish she could do something about the irate human. "If you dislike my reading then fine, you don't have to pay. It was simply a warning." She added in her defense.
"Damn right I'm not paying you! I bet someone hired you to ruin my winning steak! Well guess what, babe that ain't happening! You're dismissed." The man shooed her off in disgust.
Maloo turned and walked away from the human, as much as she tried to hide it she was a bit upset. "And I hope you lose every dime jerk." She muttered to herself before a heavy sighed followed. She usually liked to work around this part of the city as it brought in a lot of money for people who actually do heed her warnings. She was too afraid to try human gambling so instead she took advantage of human's eagerness to win although she wouldn't admit it to anyone who asked. However today seemed to be a bad day for her judging by the look of frustration on her face. She was starting to realize she was getting what humans call a migraine.
For now she calls it a failure and wanders away from the gambling area, she needed a breather after that. She didn't even realize she was near her brother and his companion, at least for now. She sat down at an open bench, pondering where she should go next within the district of fun. At least for now she's going to avoid the casino unless she wanted to see the human lose out of spite.

Human games didn't sound all that interesting. Cash? What the heck kind of use did Lavender have for human currency? "Uh..Xavier?" He questioned after he allowed the dragon to finish his verbal tour of the place. The establishment was lit up with lights and the room was filled with loud sounds that made the cat want to bury his head under a pillow. It's so loud and bright. The feline thought, narrowing his eyes, trying his best not to allow his eyes to adjust to the light, for seeing a man with cat irises wasn't exactly normal.
Lavender then looked to his friend. "I don't care about human money Xavier. What am I supposed to do with it?" Nothing! I don't even live in the city.. The feline was frowning at the dragon. Sighing, he rubbed the back of his neck before turning back to the lights. Grass green eyes shifted to look in the direction that the man had been pointing. "Alcohol? What's that? Is it like tea?" Lavender was a bit ignorant when it came to diving deep into the traditions and pass times of humans. If he didn't adjust himself to man's way of life he may end up in trouble or either an insane asylum one day.
The man listened quietly as the dragon explained what bars and clubs were used for by humans. A familiar word rang in his ears. "Dancing sounds great. Let's do tha...." Lavender suddenly trailed off as a familiar scent came to him. He looked around the area for a moment trying to figure out where the scent had been coming from.
What was that? The scent belonged to the albino fortune teller woman he had ran into a couple of months earlier. "Hey..Xav..isn't that.." He remembered describing how the woman had looked to the dragon only to be told that it was indeed the dragon's sister. The female dragon was indeed within the establishment and as the feline looked around he finally spotted the albino human sitting on a bench.
The cat then maneuvered his way out of his companion's grasp and hurried over to the woman. "It's nice to see you again Ms. Fortuneteller!" It wasn't his fault that he had not managed to catch the female dragon's human name. He half wondered if Xavier was wary of a weirdo like himself approaching himself. Thinking on it for a couple of seconds the man stepped back away from the woman. Out of all the people he didn't want to start a fight with, Latios was at the very top of his list.
What was he supposed to do now? Xavier had suggested for the feline to mingle with humans, yet what were the odds of them running into another god in a place like this? "I'm going to ah..mingle." The cat suggested trying not to feel awkward. Wait. Why do I feel awkward? He didn't have any reason to feel awkward, right? Lavender soon shook off this feeling ruling it out as his imagination. He took one good look around the large area before going off to approach a rather frustrated middle aged man messing with one of the slot machines in the casino.

Having been distracted by a group of people walking by, all of which he knew, Xavier was a bit stupefied to turn and find Lavender missing. Crap, had he said where he was going? Xavier frowned and folded his arms, waving his friends off before turning to scan the crowd. He was going to introduce them to Lavender but it seems the feline had found something else to entertain him. However what that was, Xavier was clueless...
Ah, there he was. Xavier smirked; he couldn't miss that mess of green hair anywhere. He took a couple steps towards him then faltered, recognizing the woman he talked to. His sister? Here, after dark? He remembered reuniting with her just recently and knew she was a fortune teller, but of all the places... his frown grew heavier as he approached.
"Ya see, this is another reason why we ought to room together." Xavier greeted his sister, a brow perked. "What do ya think yer doing after dark, missy? Doncha know how people around these parts treat a lady yer age?" He glanced around, glaring daggers at men nearby. His gaze fell on Lavender as he approached a man at the casino and sighed; that... probably wasn't the best person to mingle with. Xav followed after Lavender and hooked his collar with a finger (quite like a talon), leading him back to the bench where his sister sat.
"I think she would be better company." He smirked and let Gail go, nodding towards Maloo. "This is my sister! She goes by 'Maloo' here. Remember, I told ya I was looking for her." He grinned. "We reunited recently but theres a few kinks were smoothing out. Like living conditions." He turned back to Maloo. "This is Lavender, hes ah... with me." He blinked. "We're good buds, met him while saving his ass one night." A sneer crossed his face.
It seemed he didn't know the two actually knew one another. Rather, Xavier knew Lavender had met the fortune teller side of Maloo, but not the Latias side.

Maloo's mind was wandering as she sat there. While she still was mildly upset she knew she had to think up a game plan if she was to eat tomorrow. Her cheeks was slightly puffed out in frustration but before she could think further she heard someone speak to her. She narrowed her eyes for a moment as she look up to the man before she remembers who exactly he was. "Oh...! You're that man I saw a while back." She noted before a smile forms across her lips. "I never told you my name, I'm sorry. I'm Maloo." Finally giving the disguised cat her name.
Much to her surprise she heard a familiar voice, her head quickly turning to meet her brother's gaze. "Brother! What are you doing here?" She then huffed to his remark. "You should be thankful that siblings don't want to invade your personal space." She pouted but he was right. It would probably be easier on her if she stayed with him but she was a stubborn little sister.
She places her hands on her hips. "What are you saying? Just because I'm younger doesn't mean I'm a kid, I can take care of myself quite well I think! Besides I need to make some form of money for tomorrow anyway. I usually come here since people seem to have a lot of money." She explained, the sass in her voice fading into a more nervous tone, which pretty made her fending for herself remark void.
She then sighed heavily. "Alright fine, I'll move in but on one condition. I can't tell you here so a little later." This was a good time for her to get her brother to fly with her one of these days. She hasn't taken up her true form in years and its been something she's been wishing to do for awhile now. Regardless she smiled warmly before nodding her head. "I met him before, it was in the park I think. We spoke for a little but we had to go." Her gaze moved to Lavender, nodding her head. "Its really good to meet you again sir. I didn't realize you knew Xavier and I never knew he saved your hide. Don't let him hold it against you though." She teased although in the past she had her hide saved before getting separated. She owed her brother a lot.

Before he could so much as whisper a question to the stern faced man fiddling with the gambling machine, Xavier towed him away by the nape of his color with an iron grip. The man allowed himself to be pulled away perhaps it had been for the better. It always seemed as though Lavender always ended up in some kind of trouble when he did things his own way. "Hey! I thought you'd like some good alone time with your sister!" In truth, he wouldn't admit that it felt awkward being around the both of them at the same time. Was that a little jealousy hidden in the feline's slight smirk?
Maloo. It had a nice ring to it and was fairly easy to remember. "Nice to meet you again Maloo." He smiled wide and the happiness showed in the depths of his green eyes. "I'm Lavender, I don't remember if I told you before." He introduced himself to the female dragon. Then it was time for the man to just stand there and look out of place while the siblings spent a few moments to catch up with one another. I really shouldn't feel awkward here right? There's no reason for me to be..right? I'm not sure... The man looked on at some unseen object in the distance as he lost himself in his thoughts while the two Hoenn dragons talked among one another.
Xavier's sister reminded him of his own siblings, except she was the older one. Thinking of this made the man's heart hurt but he said nothing of the matter. It was hard to lose yourself with the blinking lights and the sounds that vibrated through the machines when someone won cash. Oh how he wished he could just relax with a healthy sister that was sound of mine. That wasn't going to happen again for a long, long time.
Mumbled words came from the man but he wasn't addressing anyone in particular. "Huh?" He echoed in bewilderment before recalling bits and pieces of the conversation. "Oh, it's fine. I owe him my life. If it hadn't been for him I'd be in the pits of that beast's stomach." It was amazing how the cat's personality calmed when he was around more people outside of Xavier. Around the blue dragon his true side showed, but for now he held his happy-go-lucky nature as though it would cause an upset or something.
The big cat looked uncomfortable.

Xavier stared blankly at Lavender before snorting, folding his arms into his chest. "And here I thought you'd be making some snappy comeback to defend your pride." He smirked and elbowed the man, a brow perked. "Did someone declaw the cat?" With a wink to indicate he was joking, Xavier looked back and forth between Maloo and Lavender with a contented smile; he, unlike Lavender, was quite comfortable.
"Deal." He agreed to his sister's terms with a victorious grin, one that slowly slid off his face to be replaced by a confused visage. "Wait, tomorrow? Whaddaya need cash for, food, rent?" Xavier fished around in his pockets briefly before pulling out his wallet, pressing a couple bills into Maloo's hand, his gaze stubbornly set; he wouldn't take this back. "I have so much of this stuff you'd think I own the building I live in." He laughed.
Which reminded him... "I got the place recently renovated." He glanced sideways to Lavender, slightly huffed. "It has an entirely new atmosphere, one I like to call 'Dirt'." He chuckled and waved his hand dismissively. "You'll see it whenever we get there. But for now I think its high time for us to get our asses moving."
Xavier looked around and shrugged, gesturing for his comrades to follow. He led them towards the casino and passed by the security no problem; in fact, the guard waved. However, his leer hardened when it fell on Lavender and Maloo, and internally Xavier sighed; humans were so distrusting. Xavier tapped the guy on the shoulder and smirked coyly, nodding to the pair. "They're with me." The guard relaxed instantly and waved them through.
"Lesse, you need cash" he looked at Maloo "while you have none to speak of." He smirked over at Lavender. "This is the perfect place to get some, especially if yer... gifted." Xavier tapped his temple, referring to his psychic typing. "Which is why yer sticking to me like glue." he added as he looked over Lavender, raising an arm with a sinister sneer; he was silently threatening to snag his waist once more.

She grinned like a goof when her brother agreed to her terms. It made her feel giddy like a child would inside. When the question was asked to why she couldn't move in today she shook her head. "Well... I do need food for tomorrow but if I'm going to move in with you, I should at least give the old couple I was saying with something in thanks I fig-" She looked to the money in her hand "But-" Before she could even say anything she saw the stubborn look on his face which made her cheeks mildly puff out a bit. "Hmph. I still at least need to get my clothes and stuff too..." She places the given money into her satchel.
She narrowed her eyes a bit in thought. The way Xavier said that made her feel like he has some fancy home with various items all over the place. She snapped out of her little thought when she listened to Lavender and her bother speak before he made the gesture to follow in which she did. She had a mild look of discomfort when the guard leered at her in such a matter in which she moved a little closer to Xavier. Even after they were allowed in she was still mildly uncomfortable.
Her eyes scan the area, its a place she honestly never stepped into before but she had seen plenty of humans go in and leave happy, sad, or furious. "What exactly is your plan, brother? I never actually... stepped foot in here before." She knew he was up to something, he was good with planning more than she was but... she would never admit that. Her gaze moved to Lavender. "Have you ever been in a place like this before? You seem to hang out with him a lot." She assumed.
